Performance evaluation of funds in the Czech Republic

The thesis compares the performance of Czech equity mutual funds, focusing on less common indicators and performance assessment methods. This means mainly a modern ratios that takes into account both of yield and risk of the investment. The introductory theoretical part deals with the basic characteristics, legislation, typology and histoty of the funds in the Czech Republic since the early years of its existence to the present. Selected indicators for assessing performance of funds (Sharpe, Treynor, Calmar Ratios, Jensen alpha, Information Ratio and Maximum Drawdown) and also comparison funds with benchmark is applied in the analytical part. The thesis highlights the problems with the interpretation of ratios in the case of falling markets, and also proposes solutions to these problems.

Export support from the EU Structural Funds

The first chapter discusses the EU Regional policy. The second chapter deals with practical implementation of Structural Funds support in the Czech Republic. Chapter 3 sums up tools used to support export from EU Structural Funds in the Czech Republic. Chapter 4 concentrates on recent state export support in the Czech Republic. The last chapter summarizes the results of my own research among aid beneficiaries from the Marketing programme.

The development of Microregion Poličsko (on the principle of the anylysis of selected realizing projects in the frame of ROP NUTS II Northeast)

This bachelor thesis is aimed to problems of development of microregions with the intention of the development Microregion Poličsko with the help of using financial means of the European Union from Regional Operational Program NUTS II Northeast. Theoretic part deals main objectives and implements of the policy of the economic and social cohesion for the program period 2007 -- 2013. Priority axes and areas of intervention of Regional Operational Program NUTS II determined for drawing from the structural fund of the European Union Northeast are next components of the theoretic part. At first practical part devotes socio-economic analysis of Microregion Poličsko owing to the reason of the view on economic structure of the microregion. The next part analyses concrete use of realizing projects in Microregion Poličsko. The aim of this bachelor thesis is to find contributions for the development of Microregion Poličsko with the help of financial support from the European Union.

Immigration to the Czech republic and its territorial impacts

This thesis explains basic concepts associated with immigration, theories of migration and basic models of immigration policies. It deals with historical continuity, legislature and trends in the sphere of international migration in Europe. Than it is engaged in historical continuity of immigration to the Czech republic, state policy of the Czech republic in the sphere of migration, legislature and its historical changes and instruments for attracting of immigrants to the Czech republic. The thesis analyses development and present condition of international immigration to the Czech republic, number of immigrants, citizenship, purpose-of-residence, age structure, economic activity and spatial allocation on territory of the Czech republic. Furthermore, it focuses on economics and demographics impacts of immigration. This thesis realizes situation in the Czech republic and in its individual regions. At the conclusion it interprets and resumes results.

Social and Demographic Analysis of the Tábor District

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá sociální a demografickou analýzou okresu Tábor. Práce je zaměřena na popis jednotlivých sociálních a demografických charakteristik tohoto okresu, na jejich analýzu a časové a místní porovnání, dále také na předpověď jejich vývoje. Postupně se věnuje základním sociálně-ekonomickým charakteristikám okresu s důrazem na základní charakteristiku okresu, jeho osídlení a správní členění a další významné ukazatele týkající se obyvatelstva, průmyslu a služeb, školství, zdravotnictví a infrastruktury okresu Tábor, následně se zabývá demografickou analýzou obyvatelstva a prognózou jejího vývoje, dále sociální strukturou obyvatelstva sledovaného okresu s důrazem na charakteristiky nezaměstnanosti, vzdělání a bytové výstavby. V další části je provedena swot analýza okresu Tábor a hodnocení dopadů sociálního a demografického vývoje na další rozvoj okresu, obsahující formulaci závěrů a doporučení vyplývajících z této analýzy.

Možnosti čerpání finančních prostředků z fondů EU podnikatelskými subjekty

Obsahem práce je vytvoření nejen uceleného obrazu fungování regionální politiky ČR v souvislosti se strukturální politikou EU, ale i popsání možností získat finance z fondů EU. Nejprve jsou z obecného pohledu charakterizovány jednotlivé nástroje, principy a cíle uplatňované při uskutečňování strukturální politiky.Následně jsou uvedeny konkrétní možnosti využití finančních prostředků z EU z pohledu českého podnikatele.Pozornost je soustředěna na operační program průmysl a podnikání.Stěžejní částí práce je dotazníkové šetření provedené jak v ČR, tak v Irsku, jakožto země s výbornými zkušenostmi v čerpání prostředků z fondů EU.Vyhodnocené výsledky jsou pak použity pro stanovení takových návrhů řešení, vedoucích k efektivnějšímu čerpání finančních prostředků z EU českými podnikateli.

Brownfields

Tato diplomová práce se věnuje problematice brownfields. Definuje pojem brownfields a popisuje jeho jednotlivé typy. Dále se zabývá trendy, které tuto problematiku doprovází a zkoumá možné přístupy k řešení brownfields. Součástí je analýza přístupů vybraných zemí k řešení tohoto tématu. Vzhledem k příležitosti čerpání finančních prostředků EU v programovacím období 2007 - 2013, která je České republice přislíbena, analyzuje též možnosti jejich částečného využití v oblasti regenerace brownfields. Poslední část se věnuje rozboru 4 případových studií s nástinem jejich řešení.
