Information for patients about the treatment mode after hip surgery - Total joint replacement

My bachelor thesis called "Patients' knowledge of therapeutic mode after surgery of hip joint - total endoprosthesis" deals with a problem of education of patients in case of mode after surgery on Orthopaedic department in St. Zdislava hospital in Mostiště. A theoretic part is focused on summary of findings about hip joint, causes of surgery, types of endoprosthesis, preoperative and postoperative cares, rehabilitation and potential complications after surgery of hip joint. In a practical part, there is introduced a method of research on Orthopaedic department, whose aim is to get into degree of patients' knowing, form of education and simple keeping of preventive measures. In a conclusion of my thesis the results of research and assessment of research acquisiton into practice are summarized.
Prevention thromboembolic disease in surgery

The bachelor thesis with the title "Prevention of Thromboembolic Disease" depicts a serious medical condition which may lead to death. Thromboembolic disease affects mostly patients after surgery. However, with proper prevention the risk of developing the disease decreases significantly. The main aim of the thesis is to find out who educates the patient and when (whether it is before or after the surgery). Furthermore, it focuses on nurses and their role in prevention of thromboembolic disease. It asks if nurses educate patients about the disease and the importance of prevention. In particular, it concentrates on the quality and quantity of patient education. It tries to find out whether nurses know what patient education in patients with this condition should include and whether they use any educational aids. In the empirical part of the thesis the author acquired data using a quantitative research method of a structured questionnaire. The survey included 128 respondents working in several intensive and non-intensive departments of the Královské Vinohrady University Hospital. A research survey showed that 83 (65.9%) nurses educate patients before surgery and there is no difference between length of practice and preoperative education on TEN prevention. Quality of life of patients with a stoma

Thesis "Quality of life of patients with a stoma 'is about what all includes the patient's life with a stoma. The theoretical part acquaint with issues related to each stoma. Describe the anatomy of the digestive and urinary tract, history and basic division stoma. Shortly in my work, I also described diseases that can be dealt with stoma. Describe preoperative and postoperative care, devoted to the care and stoma aids. I mention also stoma complications and deal with the patient's quality of life . In the empirical part of the work I present results obtained using a structured questionnaire, which I compiled for purpose of work. In conclusion mention of findings arising from my investigation and my assessment of the objectives.
Quality of life of selected groups of clients with Crohn's disease

My dissertation work called "The quality of life within selected groups of clients with the Crohn's disease" is analysing the subjective evaluation of the clients' life situation, that describes their day-to-day struggle with this chronic disease. This work is divided into two parts, theoretical and empirical. The objective of the former is to present the current findings about the Crohn's disease, to describe the term "quality of life", defines its various meanings and history and specifies the assessment methods in the clinical practice. In the latter, there are set objectives and working hypotheses for own evaluation. The target of the empirical part is to obtain real life data through questioning methods, partly based on the standardised WHQL-BREF methodology. The obtained data will be subjected to primary analysis in order to create an evaluation result for a selected group of clients. In the last part, this dataset will be compared with the previously measured values on quality of life of clients with Crohn's disease.
Trauma nurses in providing nursing care and prevention options

The thesis is focused on the issue of injury to nurses in providing nursing care and disease, which is due to an injury risk. It also deals with back pain, total prevention of the problems and possibilities of compensation for work injuries. In connection with the issues I have set goals and determine whether the respondents comply with established nursing standards and whether they last three years has been injuries in connection with the provision of nursing care. Furthermore, if the respondents know the correct procedure in injuries of the needle used, whether the value of container used for disposal of infectious waste for safe and whether they suffer from back pain lately. I believe that the specific targets of the thesis managed to meet the total. In a benefit for working professionals could be a picture of the issues presented by the selected workplaces. Suggesting the need to continue to pursue the above-mentioned topic.

The intention is to present an overview of knowledge of the disease itself and map its impact on the activities of a normal day. The work is divided into theoretical and practical part. The introduction of the theoretical part is devoted to reasons of my decision to describe this topic, I define the aim of the work and the working hypotheses, subsequently there is described the disease itself in tabular form by each areas, such as the characteristics of the disease, duration of disease, diagnosis, treatment etc. Then I pay attention to daily life activities and needs of the patient. In the practical part is performed quantitative research through a questionnaire survey of patients from a specialized center for the treatment of demyelinating diseases in the Department of Neurology at the Motol University Hospital. The knowledge of mothers in care about physiological newborn

Bachelor's essay "The knowledge of mothers in care about physiological newborn" is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part includes summary of relevant information about first care about newborn after birth and next daily care. It deals with the means of education of mothers on neonatal ward and the role of paeditrician and a paediatric nurse on giving information about taking care of newborn. The practical part of bachelor's essay contains quantitative research. Through a questionnaire there were found ways of self - education of mothers in taking care about newborn as well as the degree and ways of providing information by a health team on neonatal ward and in a surgery of practictal pediatrician. The questions of questionnaire are also focused on evaluation of education by mothers. The research was carried out during a preventive examination of children's hips in a health centre Zelený Pruh. For the analysis there were used 66 questionnaires in total.
