The Czech Republic after the admission to the European Union - macroeconomic progress and international comparison

The task of this thesis is to analyze macroeconomic situation in the Visegrád Group after the admission to the European Union in 2004. It focuses on comparison of chosen macroeconomic indicators. There is analyzed the effect of particular components on gross domestic product, other alternative indicators of GDP and macroeconomic equilibrium in the Czech Republic. The prediction of a progress of GDP is added according to several significant institutions. The last part deals with the results of an analysis of the Global Competitiveness Index in 2009/2010 with the focus on the Visegrád Group.
Privatization process in the Czech Republic

The aim of this work is to provide a comprehensive view of the privatization process in the Czech Republic. Work characterizes the initial conditions, possible approaches and different methods of privatization in conjunction with their successes as well as criticism. The first part describes the transformation - its objectives, initial situation and approaches to the transformation. The second part analyzes the privatization process and its strategy: restitution, small and large privatization with focusing on the voucher privatization.
The process of the nominal and real convergence in Czech Republic after entering European Union

The aim of the bachelor paper is the macroeconomic analysis of the nominal and real convergence of Czech Republic within EU-27. Is the economic and price level of the Czech Republic closer to the level of EU-27? To which extent did the entering of the Czech Republic influence its competitiveness? Does the Czech Republic fulfill the Maastricht Convergence Criteria? I will try to answer these questions with the help of the chosen indicators on the basis of the statistic data available from the Statistical Office of the European Commission Eurostat, national CSO, also according to the evaluation of the Global Competitiveness Report, which is published every year by the World Economic Forum and finally according to the document of the Ministry of Finance of the Czech Republic and the Czech National Bank, that has been evaluating the fulfillment of the Maastricht Convergence criteria from the year 2004.
The comparison of macroeconomic development of the Czech Republic and Slovak Republic after EU entry

This bachelor thesis is focused on economical situation in Czech and Slovak Republic after joining European Union. There are presented basic macroeconomic indicators such as gross domestic product, inflation, unemployment, public finances and balance of payments in the first part of my thesis. Methodological part includes development of these indicators and was essential element for comparing economic development of examined countries between 2004 and 2009.
Demand for the services of ski schools in Krkonoše mountains

The main aim is to describe and analyze a key determinants of the demand for services of ski schools in Krkonoše mountains. At the beginning I focus on a segment of ski schools itself. After, the hypotesis are set up, based on the defined determinants, and verified by a survey. The survey was held in a winter season 2008/ 2009 in Dolní Dvůr, Ski school SKi Baron. In addition the survey focusing on visit rate of Krkonoše mountains is mentioned. Next point is to compare two ski schools according to a different clients (SKOL MAX in Špindlerův Mlýn and Ski Baron in Dolní Dvůr).

Objective of this thesis is to describe and to interpret privatization process in the Czech Republic in the first half of nineties. Thesis contains description of historical and social background in the Czech Republic in the beginning of nineties. Further it contains description of particular privatization methods. Voucher privatization is accentuated in this thesis.

The main aim is to analyze and describe the situation of the demand for badminton in Czech Republic and to verify if this demand is increasing or decreasing. Furthermore to think about which instruments would help to develop the demand for badminton. Some perspective for the future is the development of marketing activities. The opportunities for sports marketing I will try to present at a practical example of the SPORT INVEST Marketing company stands for the currently best Czech badminton player.
Transition process in Croatia

The diploma thesis is dealing with transition process in Croatia since the change of communistic regime to the present. It examines the transition from the socialistic economy to the market-oriented economy according to particular parts of the process and describes the progress and implementation of market reforms. The political and macroeconomic evolution is included as well as the current situation. All data is compared with other countries in transition. The thesis can help to understand the Croatian transition and current situation. It can be useful for companies which plan to invest or set up a business in Croatia.
