Scaffold hopping-based exploration of chemical space
Mikeš, Marek ; Hoksza, David (advisor) ; Krivák, Radoslav (referee)
This work is based on the Molpher SW project, which is client-server application aiding exploration of chemical space between two input molecules. Aim of master thesis was modify the current version of program to manage scaffold hopping technique. This technique represents molecule in a simplified way. The simpler molecule is called scaffold. First of all there was need to define seve- ral levels of granularity and for each level define morphing operators. Server was modified with respect for parallelization. Experimental exploration of chemical space with and without the new feature is part of this work too. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)

Mikeš, Marek ; Bednařík, Petr (advisor) ; Cebe, Jan (referee)
My bachelor thesis is focused on the Czech press in the 1980s and its tendencies to describe so-called rowdies and their negative impact not only on the football environment but also on society in general. My thesis will mainly focus on rowdies and the way they were portrayed by the Czech press at that time. In the first part, I am going to characterize rowdies and some related terms as well as the historical context. I am also going to present the great football tragedies of the 20th century that took place in Europe and therefore also in Czechoslovakia. In the main part of my thesis, I'm going to analyze 4 domestic newspapers or magazines and show how they informed our society about these incidents and rowdies.

The main concern of this thesis is a literary analysis of Ukiyoburo, a work by Shikitei Sanba, who was a prominent Japanese writer of the Edo period. The theoretical part mainly deals with the narrative analysis, which has been chosen to be the main research method of this thesis. The image of U.S. in Rudé právo during the Vietnam War
Mikeš, Marek ; Bednařík, Petr (advisor) ; Köpplová, Barbara (referee)
In my thesis I analyse how the United States was depicted in Rudé právo during selected stretches of the Vietnam War. I focus on 1966 (the US already at war), 1968 (the Tet offensive) and 1969 (Nixon as president, the death of Ho Chi Minh) and I explore what image a Czechoslovak reader might have made of the US based on those periods. Next, I observe the differences between the objective portrayal of these historical events and their media coverage in Rudé právo. In my work I assume that Rudé právo did not inform about the Vietnam War objectively, but was instead subject to Communist propaganda. At the same time, I am also interested in the means by which Rudé právo obtained a subjective description of these events.

Mikeš, Marek ; Tirala, Martin (advisor) ; Paulovič, František (referee) ; Löwensteinová, Miriam (referee)
This thesis deals with popular paraphrases of classical Japanese literature in the Edo period (1600- 1868). It analyses creative rewritings of a famous Heian tale Genji monogatari by popular authors of the Edo period, primarily Nise Murasaki inaka Genji by Ryūtei Tanehiko (1783-1842), which is one of the most successful works of Japanese early modern literature. The aim of this thesis is, utilizing elements of narrative analysis, to identify and interpret creative strategies applied by Tanehiko and his predecessors (Kogame Masuhide, Miyako no Nishiki and Okumura Masanobu) in works based on Genji monogatari and to find out what the relation was between their works and their Heian model, and if and to what extent Tanehiko's work was a unique occurrence between popular paraphrases of classical Japanese literature.
