Congo War and Power Politics in Central Africa

The aim of this paper is to describe power in Central Africa in terms of actors and aspects. In order to find out who has the power and what it is like, the matrix of aims, strategies and results is used. The argument is that the state which is able to change aims into results has the power. Herein, it should be mentioned that the Congo conflict is not just one war; it is a complex of interrelated wars and disputes. Nevertheless, the analysis is centred at the state level of the conflict. The aspects of civil and local wars are neglected here; however, they cannot be totally ignored. At first, theoretical and historical backgrounds to the conflict are described. Here, the clientelism is central to very African system of power. Then, the politico-military, economic and diplomatic/intemational aspects of the second Congo war are analysed. The findings are that Angola due to its military strength and pragmatic aims is the main power in Central Africa. The second most powerful country in the region is Rwanda, whose military aims and strategies were, however, unfitted to its potential resources. These two states are able to control the African clientelism most accurately. On the other side, Uganda and Zimbabwe were not. In terms of other states, no one was able to influence the course of the second Congo war....

Valuation of an agricultural company

The topic of this master thesis is a valuation of an agricultural company. Based on this valuation, an objective value of the company is obtained which might serve as a suitable knowledge before selling or buying the company. Two appropriate methods were chosen for valuation. Their choice depended on collected information about the company and on the results of a preliminary strategical and financial analysis.
The thesis contains two parts. In the first one, results of a literature search are given encompassing the key notions in the valuation process, available preliminary analyses, methods and recommended processes of valuation.
The second part puts the theory into practice using an existing company. First, the financial and strategical analysis is implemented. Depending on the results of the analyses, it is decided whether to evaluate the company and if so, which methods to choose for valuation. Finally, two appropriate methods of valuation are chosen the method of book value and the method of capitalized net earnings. The results of these two methods are combined in the final value. The rest of the work contains the final conclusion.

NEW POSSIBILITIES OF DISTRIBUTION OF LOW-BUDGET FILMS BY PRODUCER IN THE CZECH REPUBLIC

In my Master's thesis I will focus on new possibilities of distribution of low-budget films by producer in The Czech Republic. The work is patterned on the current situation where more and more domestic films are distributed by its producer. In addition, a number of smaller Czech films are distributed by classical distributors.
The thesis will try to outline the context of the development of independent distribution in the United States with the situation on the European market, respectively on the Czech one. I will try to describe the current situation on the film market, methods of treatment of film distribution and their advantages and disadvantages.
The core of my work will be devising new methods of film distribution of low-budget films in connection with the setting of marketing and distribution strategies .

Secure communication in systems using restricted devices

This thesis presents the usability and analysis of cryptographic methods on devices with low computing power and low memory capacity. The thesis describes different methods and shows examples of their usability in practice. According to certain parameters of security methods, such as code size and memory size it is selected and compared symetric ciphers and authentication codes. There are also described some security protocols and possible attacks. The next part includes a comparison of ciphers and chosen candidates are tested on our microcontroller. In the end there are propose, implemented and analyzed security protocols.

MAC Protocol for Wireless Sensor Networks

The work focuses on introduction to the topic of wireless sensor networks and brings readers the various aspects of problem solving in these networks. Work is closely focused on the energy performance when communicating between devices on a network and discusses the causes of excessive energy consumption. It also addresses the mechanisms for saving energy and is also engaged today protocols that its contribution to proposing solutions to problems. The author had also proposes an adapted protocol, based on lessons learned from previous theoretical sources.

Detached house, Libcany

In the Bachelor's thesis is dealt with new above-standard modern family house. The object is placed on the free land that was previously used as a garden and orchard. The building is connected to the surrounding areas. The House is located in the village of the Hradec Králové region, in the Towns of p.p.č. 355/7. Built-up area object is 173,44 m2 Building has two floors. Roof of the House is composed of two flat roofs. The building is situated on gently sloping terrain. As the main building material was used a system of VELOX. The input part of the object is made up of an entrance, the entrance to which can be accessed from the garage. Area continues into the corridor, from which we get into stair Hall, study, which can also be used as a guest room, WC, bathroom and closet. From the stair Hall to go after the stairs to the 2nd floor, kitchenette with dining area, through which we get into spacious living rooms. From the living room, dining room and from the study can be accessed on the terrace and adjoining garden. At the entrance to the 2nd floor of cetrální Hall, a person can get in all the rooms. It comes to the bedroom, two children's rooms, technical room, closet, bathroom and toilet. The bedroom is a spacious dressing room and green terrace.

Management of Marketing Campaigns in an Environment of Social Networks and Evaluating their Effectiveness

This thesis is an analysis of the efficiency of managing social media campaings of Faculty of Management in Jindrichuv Hradec, as well as a new proposal of its improvements. The first part of the thesis explains theoretical expressions on the topic above, including marketing communication, public relations, media planning and online marketing. The second chapter turn the theoretical knowledge into practice, contains of concrete activities of Faculty of Management in Jindrichuv Hradec in comparsion with its competitive faculties. Conclusion of the thesis consist of recommendations for managing the social media campaings and its further tracking of the efficiency.

The Film Industry Support Programme

This bachelor thesis is devoted to study the configuration of the applied methods of the governmental supporting of the Czech film industry and Czech cinematography at the same time. The choice of such thesis subject is motivated by implementation of the film incentives in the Czech Republic.
The aim of this thesis is finding common points and aspects of the The Film Industry Support Programme (PPFP - film incentives) with the other, long ago established forms of government film support. Revision of intents of the PPFP as well as its sense and comprehension of its assessing criteria for choosing projects to be upheld ? is very important.
To comprehend these matters, deep knowledge of evolution of the governmental attitude towards film industry and cinematography is needed to be used. To study the incentives fundamentals, it is also crucial to know and understand the European policy related to these matters.

Subject of the thesis "Financial analysis of Wincor Nixdorf, s.r.o" is analysis and evaluation of the situation in the company in years 2005 - 2009 using general methods of financial analysis. First part of the thesis explains theory and methods. The next part applies all of this creating financial analysis of Wincor Nixdorf, s.r.o. The final part summarizes financial situation of the company between 2005 - 2009.

Spatial and economic effects of the population ageing in the Czech Republic

The demographic ageing is an inevitable result of social and economic changes of recent decades. Although it fully affects the Czech Republic in the near future it is necessary to adopt proper precautions to minimize its risks and take the opportunities now. This bachelor thesis analyzes the causes and effects of the population ageing in the Czech Republic, examines the possible transformations of the pension system and public health care. It offers a range of measures to reduce the negative impacts of the population aging and points to the possibilities that arise in connection with this trend. In the second part the thesis focuses on the active ageing program and its implementation in the city of Prague. By using the questionnaire, it examines the supply and demand of activities for seniors. On the basis of obtained dates are built characteristics of organizers of these activities and charted their spatial distribution, legal form and economic situation.
