Analysis and optimization of cycling transport in Bratislava

The bachelor's thesis analyzes the current situation of bicycle transport in the city of Bratislava, especially with regard to achieving safety and comfort when using a bicycle as a means of transport. The work emphasizes bicycle transport as a driving force for sustainable mobility and a healthy, prosperous society. The analysis shows that quality cycling infrastructure can help the city of Bratislava with growing traffic problems and polluted air. The theoretical part contains information on how to increase the safety of bicycle transport and how to calm urban transport in favor of bicycle transport. The analytical part evaluates the current state, critical points and describes the areas with contra-flow cycling. The practical part optimizes the existing cycling routes with the priority of safely segregating cyclists from the rest of the traffic in accordance with the spatial possibilities.

Ostroměř Bypass - Location Study

The subject of my bachelor thesis is the research study of bypass of the village Ostroměř located in Jičín district, region Královéhradecký. The bypass will join on the road I/35, passing in present through the village. The designed route will cross Javorka river and railroad. The objective of study is design of three alternatives of the route and one will be processed in details. Basic goal is to reduce high traffic in centre of Ostroměř in total amount 11000 vehicles per day and increase of traffic safety of overtaking cars and inhabitants of the village.

The issue of parking in Nove Zamky

This bachelor’s thesis deals with the issue of static transport in the town of Nové Zámky. The subject of this work is the analysis of static transport in the city. The city was divided into individual logical zones. Deficiencies were found in the analytical part of the existing state, which were subsequently addressed in the design part. The proposed solutions for parking areas are partly designed to soak up water in the city and thus contribute to a better climate in the city.

Adjusting the intersection of roads I/11 x II/474 in Těrticku

Thesis is focused on adjustment for crossing of roads I/11 and II/474 in Těrlicko with condition to preserve right off lane, which is part of motorcycle circuit. Purpose of this thesis is to increase lucidity, to decrease accident rate and to solve preservation of right off lane. Thesis was based on data acquired from actual measurements of intensity which were compiled into cartogram. Result of thesis is design which ensure safer connection of the road II/474 with no traffic fluency disruption to serviceroad. Design decreases dangerousness of solved section with transformation of crossroads geometric arrangement, which corresponds to assessment for capacity and for viewpoints areas.

The main purpose of the master´s thesis is to find out the details of the occurrence of traffic accidents with a obstacle and their other properties (type of obstacle, accident time, climatic conditions etc.).

The issue of residential parking

The diploma thesis deals with the issue of residential parking. The analytical part describes the implementation process of this form of parking regulation. This process is illustrated with process diagrams created in ARIS Express software. The proposing part describes various solution options for a complicated situation concerning housing estate yards in areas with established residential parking.

Alternative solutions of the Business premises - Dobronická

The subject of the Master thesis is alternative solutions of the parking lot including review of parking bays and adjacent paved areas for the needs of the shopping area (wholesale of food, eight stores of different charakter, fast food restaurant, fuel station and 3 automatic car wash systems) and design two variants of intersections (direct intersection and roundabout) with new urban road where is the shopping area connected. A traffic survey and capacity assessment of existing and newly proposed variants were carried out for the design of the intersection.

Analysis of Critical Places in Road Transport in the Zlín District

The theme of the diploma thesis will be analyzing of a specific road sections with high accident rates on public roads in the Zlin region with the emphasis of decreasing the number of traffic accidents. The materials and valuable informations will be obtained in cooperation with the Police of the CR - Department of traffic police or by examination of selected sections. The main criteria for selecting of the hazardous sections, is the amount of the accidents in the selected sections which will be thoroughly analyzed. Based on the analysis of the accidents in the critical sections will be proposed administrative and constructional solutions, leading to the increased safety of the selected sections of the roads. The results of the diploma thesis are primarily designated for Police of the CR and local authorities where it can be put in effective use.

Extension of Průmyslová Street

The bachelor's thesis, in the form of a technical study, deals with the modification of the existing Průmyslová street in order to provide capacity solutions for the planned development of the area. The modification also includes a connection to the planned road constructions in the area (Extension of the D1 motorway, Great city ring road). The bachelor's thesis addresses the road capacity and deals with the design of capacity and safe junctions with existing and prospective roads. Part of the bachelor's thesis is also walkway and cycle path design.
