Charles University Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Kralove Department of Pharmaceutical Technology Author: Mgr. Vojtěch Martinek Title of thesis: Efect of the composition of an emulsion with imunosupressant on the rhelogical properities of the emulsion Supervisor: PharmDr. Eva Snejdrova, Ph.D. This thesis evaluates rheological properties of the emulsion created after mixing the drug product Cyclosporine Oral Solution, USP /MODIFIED/ 100 mg/ml with water in different ratios. The theoretical part describes general characteristics, stability and viscosity of emulsions. It also describes self-emulsifying systems and the tested product Cyclosporine Oral Solution, USP /MODIFIED/ 100 mg/ml. In the experimental part of the work, the type of emulsion created, its flow properties and the effect of homogenization intensity were characterized. It was experimentally verified that as the amount of water in the mixture increases, first a w/o emulsion is formed and then the emulsion turns to an o/w emulsion type. In terms of flow properties, the medicinal product exhibits Newtonian behavior. By gradually adding water, the behavior changes to non-Newtonian up to a water:product ratio of 70:30, where the minimum value of the flow behavior index is found. As water is further added, the properties change back to...
Challenging behaviour in primary and secondary school and possible solutions
Martínek, Vojtěch ; Felcmanová, Lenka (advisor) ; Marádová, Eva (referee)
This work focuses on the risky behaviour of students aged 11 - 15 in a selected elementary school. The aim of this work is to find out the level of knowledge of teachers about the prevalence of risky behaviour at their school, possible solutions to this behaviour, and the awareness about institutes that might help with their resolutions. This thesis has two parts, a theoretical part and a research part. In the theoretical part, ADHD, defence mechanisms, and general principals of teacher to student interactions are discussed. Furthermore, this work focuses on selected types of risky behaviour and their possible solutions that can be carried out by the school. The research part of this thesis consists of a quantitative method in the form of a questionnaire which is filled in by the educators in the elementary school. This questionnaire is further discussed in an interview with a school prevention specialist. The purpose of the research was to assess the frequency of occurrence of each type of risky behaviour, the awareness of teachers about possible solutions, and the solutions the teachers actually use for their resolutions. The interview with the school prevention specialist is an addition to the answers given in the questionnaire and provides a specialist opinion. The final data are presented in...
Comparison of separation using different types of stacionary phases
Martinek, Vojtěch ; Sklenářová, Hana (advisor) ; Chocholouš, Petr (referee)
4 ABSTRACT Charles University in Prague, Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové, Department of Analytical Chemistry Candidate: Vojtěch Martinek Supervisor: Doc. PharmDr. Hana Sklenářová, Ph.D. Title of Diploma Thesis: Comparison of separation using different types of stacionary phases The goal of this diploma thesis was to compare two different stationary phases's efficiency of separation using HPLC method. Tested columns were a column filled with fused-core particles Ascentis Express C18 (Supelco Analytical) and a monolithic column Chromolith High Resolution RP-18 endcapped (Merck). As a mobile phase a mixture of acetonitrile and water was used and as a model sample a mixture of α-estradiol, β-estradiol, estrone, estriol, ethinylestradiol and ethylparaben as an internal standard was tested. Firstly modifications of the conditions of the separation process were discovered and optimal conditions of the separation for each analytical column were compared. According to them a conclusion of the efficiency of the columns was made. Based on the obtained results it was discovered that better results were achieved using the Chromolith High Resolution column, on which chromatograms with more resolved peaks and generating a lower back pressure than the Ascentis Express C18 column were found and so shorter analysis...
