Evolution of British concepts of the territorial organization of the area of Czechoslovakia between the years 1918-1938

This Master thesis, Evolution of British concepts of the territorial organization of the area of Czechoslovakia between the years 1918-1938, examines the attitude of the British foreign policy towards the territorial concept of Czechoslovakia in the interwar period. This thesis is a historiographical narrative study based primarily on the analysis of documents on British foreign policy from the period 1918-1938. The goal of this thesis is to evaluate how the British foreign policy makers reflected the existence of the new state formation in Central Europe and how their ideas about the suitability of such political organization in the area of Czechoslovakia was changing during the interwar period. The thesis is divided into three chapters. The first covers the period after the First World War, when the borders of Czechoslovakia were decided and focuses on the British role in this process. The second chapter is dedicated to British reflections on the new state in the context of the new territorial organization of Central Europe during the twenties and early thirties. The third chapter deals with the changes in British policy towards Czechoslovakia in the context of the new geopolitical reality in Central Europe after the rise of Nazism in Germany. Economic Development of Hong Kong in the Context of Its Special Position in the Sino-British Relations between 1949-1978

This bachelor thesis analyses the economic development of Hong Kong in the context of its unique position between Britain and China between 1949 and 1978 that means in the time of maoist anti- Western approach in China. It tries to identify the particular economic bonds between Hong Kong and Britain sand then between Hong Kong and China. It binds these linkages with the international political situation of that time. In the end I try to evaluate the influence of the existing bonds with Britain and China on the economic development of the colony. The thesis is divided into four main chapters with partial subchapters. The first chapter focuses on the development of the international political environment of the period - that means in particular the evolution of the Sino-British relations and the role the issue of Hong Kong played in them. The second chapter describes generally the economic development of the colony and identifies particular factors that determined it. Next two chapters offer a closer look on those factors that had its origin in the existence of the specific economic bonds between Hong Kong and the two mentioned countries. This thesis analyzes the current economic relations between China and India in the context of their general bilateral relations. Firstly, focuses on the common historical experience of the two countries in their bilateral relations and tries to identify the basic topics that are shaping them. It also deals with the current state of the economies of China and India. This thesis attempts to characterize current and future economic needs of both countries and their implications for the formation of economic relations. The ultimate goal is capturing the very nature of economic relations, prospects of further development and impact on the general bilateral relations.
Threats for the Future Economic Growth of China with Special Attention to Environmental Aspects

The objective of this bachelor thesis is to examine possible threats for the future economic development of People's Republic of China. Special attention is dedicated to the environmental threat that I find as the most serious. The first chapter analyses basic trends of the contemporary chinese economy and tries to outline prospective future development. The second chapter examines the main threats - structural, political and demographic. The last part of the thesis is concerned with enviromental threats.
