First aid in drowning - knowledge and methodology of teaching pupils of the second grade of elementary school

Title: First aid in drowning - knowledge and methodology of teaching pupils of the second grade of elementary school Objectives: The aim of this work is to determine the theoretical knowledge of first aid for drowning man of students in the second grade of elementary schools and to create a model lesson suitable for these students. Methods: In the theoretical part of thesis was used research of literature in the first aid and water rescue. The research was conducted by interviewing, the form of survey. Analysis method (Non-numerical one-dimensional analysis) was used for sorting the information which were obtained, synthesis metod was used in their summary. Results: The knowledge of pupils at our elementary schools, picked by us, about the safety rules of water behavior is sufficient. On the other hand, knowledge of specific first aid to drowning man is insufficient. In some cases, there were answers which had more than 90% success, but in the basic questions about behaviour in specific situations, almost 2/3 respondents answered badly. Physical activity level of students attending the University of the Third Age at the Faculty of Physical Education and Sport

Tittle: Physical Activity Level of Individuals Attending the University of Third Age at Charles University, Faculty of Physical Education and Sport Objectives: The aim of this diploma thesis was to describe physical activity level of the individuals attending the University of the Third Age at Charles University, Faculty of Physical Education and Sport. Methods: The theoretical part of the thesis has been achieved by using the method of search enquiry of both Czech and foreign literature. Its practical part has been created by using a survey at 226 respondents (of whom 83 % were women) who attended first year of the University of the Third Age at Charles Univeristy, Faculty of Physical Education and Sport. The average age of the respondents was 65 years, the average BMI was 25,1 kg/mš. A short version of the IPAQ questionnaire has been used, complemented with demographic questions. Results: The findings have shown that an average given volume of physical activity in one week at the tested group of seniors was 5 841,0 MET minutes. 76 % of the respondents can be thus placed into the HEPA High Active category. Hearing awareness majority of deaf minority

Title: Hearing Awareness majority of the deaf community Purpose: The aim was to determine the level of awareness and knowledge of the majority hearing population of minority deaf population. The research focuses on three areas: the experience of hearing population of the deaf community, the culture of deaf people and deaf communication. Methods: The questionnaire was presented to 100 respondents. Was anonymous and age of the respondents was 15 years old and unidentified. The questionnaire was self- constructed . It was a quantitative research methodology type of observation. The results of the questionnaires were collected after a personal touch, from processed and analyzed using statistical program EXCEL, and then presented in tabular and graphical form. Results: Respondents from the Ústí region have confirmed by their answers two hypotheses and one hypothesis disproved. Confirmed hypothesis related to personal experiences with the hearing majority deaf community. Personal experience of respondents in excess of 50%, even moved above this high a percentage point. Habits of people with Diabetes mellitus

In this thesis I will deal with people suffering from diabetes mellitus. I will focus on people who are engaged in or have experience with any physical activity, whether recreationally or competitively performed. The primary objective is to determine the habits and practices before, during and after physical activity. Furthermore, the knowledge people affected by the disease itself. So I am going to record how these people with this disease are able to cope by themselves, and how they can regulate their illness. For example, how long they are engaged in physical activity, how often and when they control thyer blood sugar and the like. To obtain information, use the method of surveys. Subsequently, each question will evaluate every particular. People for the poll I will search primarily on Internet forums for diabetics, sports clubs and diabetic clinics. The impact of 3-month exercise program of remedial physical education on selected parameters of the Senior Fitness Test.

Title: The impact of 3month exercise program of remedial physical education on selected parameters of the Senior Fitness Test. Objectives: The main task of the thesis was to find out whether physical fitness of seniors, after the 3month exercise can be improved program of remedial physical education. Methods: 16 women in the age of 60-82 years participated in the study. At the beginning and end of the program, they have been tested by following exercises of the Senior Fitness Test : 30- chair stand, Chair- sit- and reach, Back scratch, Foot and up go. Also, the test included standing on one leg. The exercise lessons were scheduled 1x for 12 weeks with the frequency once a week and contained elements of stretching, strengthening, coordinating exercise and relaxation. Results: The result showed that the majority (75%) of the tested woman improved strength of lower extremities evaluated by 30 chair stand. For tests on flexibility, results were unequivocal. More than 80 % of women has improved considerably in the combined test Foot up and go. In the assessment of the balance improvement was seen in 56 % of women. The first aid knowledge level of Primary school students

Title of the Bachelor Thesis: The first aid knowledge level of Primary school students The Aim of the Thesis: The aim of the study was to determine the theoretical knowledge of first aid 9th grade pupils of primary school and to compare the level of knowledge, depending on the type of first aid education in basic schools. Method: As a data collection was used a questionnaire survey in six Prague's elementary schools. The research involved 173 pupils aged between 14 to 15 years, 76 boys and 97 girls. The obtained data was transferred from written to an electronic form, then processed in Microsoft Excel and it served as the basis for the primary data analysis. This was further performed using Kruskal - Wallis test and multiple comparison test (t-test). Results and Discussion: Kruskal - Wallis test has confirmed a statistically significant difference among the schools and multiple comparison test (t-test) showed among which schools in particular. The school with the greatest practical training of first aid was statistically better in a poll survey than the other three tested primary schools out of total of five. Title: Subjective evaluation of the effect of massage therapy and local therapy for volleyball players. Objective: The aim of this study is to compare the effect of two different methods of regeneration of the subjective sense of the examined subjects. Methods: This pilot study has qualitative character research based on crossover design. Measuring effects on muscle regeneration was performed by subjective visual analogue scale. Results: Results didn't support the massage, compared with the cold therapy as a more effective means of regeneration to reduce the perception of discomfort. Methods of prevention in hyperextension trauma to the elbow of the handball goalkeeper

Title: Methods of prevention in hyperextension trauma to the elbow of the handball goalkeeper. Objectives: The main objective of this thesis is to determine whether the muscle strengthening exercises stabilizers of the elbow affect the stability of the elbow joint and also draw attention to the issue of hyperextension trauma to the elbow joint of the handball goalkeeper. Another objective is to evaluate the possibility of prevention of hyperextension trauma to the elbow joint of the handball goalkeeper. Methods: Rating angular deviations observed in the elbow before and after completing the intervention. Deviations were recorded using a 3D analysis system Qualysis and were processed in software Qualisys Track Manager. Results: Strengthening the dynamic stabilizers of the elbow helps to improve stability of the elbow joint load into hyperextension. Active exercise can be used as a possible prevention of hyperextension trauma to the elbow joint of handball goalkeepers. Title: Lifestyle diseases prevention by adequate lifestyle, healthy diet and physical activities within the corporate culture Goal: Introduce a draft of corporate program for health care based on information acquired from written questionnaire and analysis of approach to health in the Czech Republic, and also based on materials from the Institute of Health Information and Statistics in Czech Republic. Methods: Primary quantitative data were chosen as a data source. Primary quantitative data were collected by written questionnaire. A primary set are employees of five selected companies. Secondary set are 100 respondents who demonstrate a representative sample. Information obtained from the Institute of Health Information and Statistics in Czech Republic are secondary data which were collected within a nationwide statistics. Results: Particular questions from written questionnaire were processed and obtained results are presented in pie charts. Secondary data are processed and presented by scripts, charts and tables.
