Economic analysis of Ceska sporitelna, plc.

This thesis focuses on the economic analysis of Ceska Sporitelna which was realized through a financial analysis, where bank assets, liabilities and parts of income statements were analyzed. Furthermore, bank formulas were defined and counted. Results of the financial analysis were compared with the bank sector which is created by the four biggest banks in the Czech republic and with Komercni banka which is the biggest competitor of Ceska sporitelna. Some of the counted formulas were synthesized in the Spider analysis. Through the Porter "s five forces analysis, the position of Ceska sporitelna in the bank sector was evaluated.

It is not easy to be succesful and remain on the market full of competition nowadays. Companies have to constantly adapt to different changes but they also have to continuously develop and improve in order to compete with others. They need to know themselves and also their competitors in order to achieve this improvement. Therefore an economic analysis was compiled to examine and identify economic performance of the company. To perform this analysis, it is essential to understand the related concepts, to have knowledge of the methods and mainly to be experienced in financial statements. All above mentioned is defined in the theoretical part of this thesis. In the practical part, there is the analysis applied in practice in order to achieve goals of this thesis. One of the goals is to summaries economic situation of cooperative compared to main competitor in industry. The above analysis are illustrated with graphs and notes.
The Agricultural Cooperative Velká Chyška was selected for the analysis, becouse of it is main activity in agriculture. Analyzed period is in ten years range from 2005 till 2014. The cooperative was reporting satisfactory results in this period, with exception of the downturn in 2009 which was caused mainly by the fall of milk prices to a minimum-this was a result of global economic crisis and poor weather conditions. The good condition of the cooperative can be demonstrated on financial statement analysis, financial ratios, IN05 index and best position in comparison to a competitors and industry. The results show that the Agricultural Cooperative Velká Chyška is able to economically use their financial funds and property.

Price development of selected agricultural commodity

Bachelor thesis aims on price development of tea in Kenya. Introductory part includes basic information about tea, its sorts and its cultivation. Subsequently the biggest world tea producers and exporters are introduced and then the thesis is devoted to the system of defining and creating tea price. This chapter comprises descriptions of individual factors influencing tea price as. Methods such as regression and correlation analysis, and time series analysis were used for analyzing of tea price development.
The results of regression and correlation analysis revealed that tea price within the time span of one year is influenced from 40 % by the volume of concrete country´s production, whereas tea price within one month is influenced from 6 % by the volume of country´s production. According to time series analysis tea price will grow in the future. However having a look into the past, sudden tea price jumps can not be excluded.

Analysis of dairy sector

This bachelor thesis is focused on the assessment and analysis of dairy sector in the Czech republic and consists of two main parts - theoretical and practical.The theoretical part presents the fundamental knowledge about milk as food,its production and consumption in the Czech republic before joining the European Union and in the present.It will also be devoted to economic analysis and concepts associated with it : the costs,revenues,results of operations and profitability.
The search is based on an analysis of various economic indicators and the results of the CULS Farm Estate Lany during the reporting period.There are then compared with the national average milk production.The practical part is a brief description of the company,which describes the activity,internal resources of the company at the present and agricultural production which is divided into crop and livestock production.
The conclusion of this thesis present a brief assessment of the sector, based on the profit reporting CULS Farm Estate Lany and the current market situation in milk production in the Czech republic.

This bachelor thesis is oriented on processing of financial analysis AUTON CZ, a.s. The aim is to assess the financial situation of the company based on the results of elementary methods and financial analysis, bankruptcy and credibility models and intercompany comparison. The thesis is divided into two parts. The theoretical part explains the basic concepts and methods of financial analysis by using professional literature. The analytical part includes the results of a financial analysis, including the subsequent interpretation. The conclusion contains recommendations for further business activity based on the summarized results.

Bachelor thesis uses financial analyses to evaluate financial health of a company CIE PRAGA Louny a.s. in years 2010 - 2014. In theoretical part there are characterized terms, methods and procedures. Knowledge obtained in theoretical part is applied in practical part, which evaluates development of business in reporting period. Information about the company is gained from open sources. Horizontal and vertical analyses of financial statement are used to determine financial situation of the monitored company, there are also used analyses of indicators of profitability, activity, liquidity and stability. On the bases of indicators of liquidity there is find out that company uses more foreign capital than it should have. According to Du Pont diagram there is find out that company has weaknesses and should increase profit margin. This thesis also contains bankruptcy and creditworthy models. Altman bankruptcy model shows the company in grey zone, in Czech modification of the model the company is evaluated as good. Creditworthy model is displayed by Kralick's quicktest and the company results in grey zone. In the end there is complete evaluation and recommendations to cover deficiency.

The aim of this thesis is the financial analysis of the COOP ENERGY company, based on accounting data and reports from the years 2012 to 2015. Thesis is divided in two parts: theoretical and practical. In the theoretical part I present used methods of financial analysis, especially horizontal and vertical analysis, focused on individual indicators from the financial statements and audit reports. I consider and compare the development of indicators of profitability, liquidity and debt ratios.This focuses on assessments of debt levels and debt capital and consequent risk of insolvency proceedings. The practical part presents the company as an subject in competitive and liberalized energy market and compare the position in the market with the competitors with similar scope and business potential.

NEW ON THE „OLD“ – Brno, Bratislavská - Stará Corner

Designed objects are located in the centre of Brno, corner of Bratislavská and Stará streets. New buildings close gap in the corner and create full-fledged square, its need was determined by some analysis made in our fakulty. The buildings thus define a small square at Bratislavská street and encircle inner court, in which are designed other two houses. The square creates free space in front of Radost theater and improves public space of the street. The court has a semiprivate character – it is joined with the square by a wide passage. In the court is a park, in parter is a civic center. The court can be used by local inhabitants as well as by children from Radost theater (puppet theater for children). All the houses have a facade made of a coloured concrete. Soft differences between colour divide individual parts. The houses have organic facade with randomly placed windows. However the windows are placed in a raster, which is repeated in each floor. Randomness is accompanied with order. In parter of all buildings are civic amenities, on floors are small flats and office spaces. Under buildings are two floors with garage. In complex will live probably students and young families. Young people will support progress of this district. Civic amenities and new public space will support social life. In parter are leasable spaces, where can be shops, repairers or art and craft workshops. They will help to provide jobs for local people.

Optimization of the siphon swirl turbine draft tube

The goal of this diploma thesis is to design a new shape of the draft tube, which will be easier to manufacture while maintaining good strength and hydraulic properties. First part of this thesis is devoted to the formulation of the problem, description of the swirl turbine, principle of operation, the basic variants of arrangement, also the function of the draft tube, its efficiency and other formulas. In the second part of this thesis is a CFD and strength analysis of the original design, also a new design is proposed and the possibility of optimization using ANSYS Fluent Adjoint solver.

This work gives basic information about vane pumps, especially with unbalanced construction and vanes led by rotor. The first chapter generally gives an attention to pumps. There are described basic information, classification, advantages and disadvantages of the types, characteristics and calculation relations. The following chapters describe the vane pumps in the way of classification, description of function and calculation relations. There is also made a practical calculation of vane pump according to the assignment accompanied by CFD analysis.
