Mařík, Ondřej ; Svatoš, Oleg (advisor) ; Řepa, Václav (referee)
The thesis focuses on the creation of functional requirements for an information system based on process analysis of an organization. In the theoretical part introduces the reader to the basic concepts related to business processes, their modeling and relationship with the company information system. Then, two approaches to analysing the functioning of the organization are presented, namely the approach of consultancy company Logio and the MMABP methodology. The practical part describes a real project of process analysis and creation of functional requirements for IS of a trading company. The MMABP approach is then applied to the same company. In conclusion, suitability of both approaches is evaluated and observed differences between them are identified.
Information systems in newly established companies
Mařík, Ondřej ; Basl, Josef (advisor) ; Fortinová, Jana (referee)
Selection and deployment of an information system in a company is likely to be not only expensive, but also associated with the future design of business process support. In this paper I will devote to newly emerging companies and startups partly because I myself have been through such decision in my own company, and also because startups (some of their types) are currently a hot topic. The aim is to explore current practice in this decision and see how are companies with passage of time satisfied with their initial decisions. Furthemore, based on market research and companies' requirements I would like to present here a variety of solutions (implementation models) available and usable for newly established companies so it can be used by their managers as a relevant source for decision making.
