Facincani, Filip ; Lunger-Štěrbová, Daniela (advisor) ; Macek, Petr (referee)
The aim of the diploma thesis was to carry out a detailed architectonical survey of the homestead Harazim (Rájov, village Zlatá Koruna), which has been registered as a cultural monument since 1958. The survey proved that the oldest building of the homestead is a granary, dating back to the first quarter of the 17th century. The still noticeable three-part layout of the dwelling dates in its entirety to at least the end of the first third of the 18th century. Both the granary and the dwelling were substantially reconstructed around 1865, when the so-called small building, the knowledge of which became a partial aim of the thesis, was lost.

Popatanasovská, Bojana ; Lunger-Štěrbová, Daniela (advisor) ; Oulíková, Petra (referee)
Column orders as bearers of characteristic meaning: Examples from Czech Baroque Architecture The aim of this bachelor thesis is to present the column orders as possible bearers of a certain meaning. For this reason, especially in the Baroque period, the five orders were modified in various ways. In my thesis I will present the most common of these modifications by means of several examples divided according to the five known column orders and one new form whose symbolic meaning I will try to better approach. In the case of the Tuscan Order, this is the example of the gate of the Imperial Mill in Bubenč, while I will demonstrate the modification of the Doric Order by the example of the symbolism of the side facade of the Church of St. Thomas in Prague's Lesser Town. I will describe the Ionic and Corinthian orders in one chapter using the example of the facade of the Troja castle in Prague and the Composite order on the example of the interior of the church of St. John of Nepomuk in Skalka. The last part of the thesis is devoted to a certain new form of the established orders, which I will try to present better on a set of buildings in the surroundings of the Cistercian abbey in Plasy, specifically on the convent of the Plasy monastery itself, the chapel of the Name of the Virgin Mary in Mladotice...

The bachelor thesis called Construction activity of Václav Antonín Chotek - significant ancestral residence deals mainly with the construction activities of the V. A. Chotek and his sons in the Baroque era. The thesis is divided into two parts. The first part mentions the history of Chotek family, the fortress Bělušice and the Veltrusy Castle which both belong to the main construction activities of Count Chotek. This part also briefly describes other family residences which were maintained, built or reconstructed in Baroque period. In the second part, I want to present more specifically the residences, whose names were mentioned in the first part and which exist mainly thanks to the brothers Jan Karel and Rudolf Chotek. Therefore the second part represents a kind of catalog. All the descriptions are accompanied by pictorial documentation. I also focused here on other builders who participated in constructions or renovations. There are mentioned buildings as the castles in Chlumín and in Třebešice, the estate of Nové Dvory near Čáslav and the castle Myslibořice. Here I will also mention the House U Zlatého melounu which is located in Prague. In the final part, I would like to compare the former form of the settlements with the current one. At the end I summarize if the target from the initial part...

K. I. Dientzenhofer in the service of Society of Jesus Abstract The Diploma Thesis aims to map the famous Jesuit religious buildings arising in the Czech kingdom by the hands of Kilian Ignac Dientzenhofer, as well as some smaller foundations or now-defunct constructions. Firstly it is the rural residences in Liběšice and the completion of the construction in Tuchoměřice or the dispensary in Smíchov, which has been demolished in 1930. Furthermore, the Holy Mountain Steps, which were only partially implemented according to the Dientzenhofer proposal. The Thesis also includes constructions where the architect's authorship is not proven, such as the Chapel of Sts. Archangel Michael in Kozinec and Chapel of Sts. Cross in Středokluky. An important part is also the effort to put these buildings into the context of the work of the younger Dientzenhofer and to get a closer look at the perception of their clients, including the typology of the architectural order within the function. Galia, Milan ; Lunger Štěrbová, Daniela (advisor) ; Czumalo, Vladimír (referee)
Evolution of the arcade center in sacral architecture and its importance in the penetration baroque Architecture Anotace: The topic of my diploma thesis will be a central unit, whose main architectural motif is a series of arcades. As such, it is specific to the Baroque architecture and I believe that it forms the core of so-called penetrating architecture. After describing the genesis of this type in the Middle Ages and the Renaissance, I will try to introduce the meaning of the arcade headquarters within the baroque architecture of southern Germany (especially Bavaria and Frank) and Bohemia - in the areas they have adopted and creatively developed the ideas of complex and penetrating plan layouts. The aim of the thesis is to try to create a different perspective on the formation of the radical Baroque architecture in the Central European space. Keywords: baroque, architecture, space, arcade, building, penetration
