Strategic planning is a very suitable method to effectively manage long-term development of the area. A lot of strategic documents have been made in recent years. There are strategic plans of counties, micro-regions, towns, even larger villages, but unfortunately they are not realized. The aim of my work is not to find out why most of the strategic plans are unsuccessful, but why chosen towns (Dobříš and Vodňany) are such successful in realization of the plans. The information about the process of the strategic planning was acquired from the formal interviews with the processors of the strategic plans, with the mayor or deputy mayor of both towns. There is described the whole process of the strategic planning, from the initial idea to prepare strategic plan until the process of creating the plan, its evaluation, monitoring and updating. Text is supplemented with the ideas and insights of processors, mayors, deputy mayors and authors of a literature dealing with the topic. At the very end are summarized main reasons why strategic planning of these cities successful. Keywords: strategic plannig, city, community method of planning

Lněnička, Marek ; Fialová, Dana (advisor) ; Špaček, Ondřej (referee)
It is possible to observe certain stagnation of the winter tourism which is linked with winter sports. The overall number of participants is not growing any more, however, new ski resorts are being set up and the competition is continuously rising. In order to stay competitive, it is necessary to take into account reasons which leads to the final decision of a tourist to choose certain ski resort. This thesis concentrates on the concepts that influence the process of choosing the destinationThese concepts, which are based on foreign literature are following: destination image, place attachment, loyalty. During the winter season of 2015 there was also a research conducted at the recently developing destination Lipno nad Vltavou, which was based on observations and interviews with the visitors. The above mentioned concepts were applied here. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)

Lněnička, Marek ; Urban, Luděk (advisor) ; Kameníček, Jiří (referee)
Nokia represents a great story about how a nearly bankrupt, highly diversified and rather local conglomerate from a small and dispersedly-populated severe climate country of Finland has been transformed into a world leading, focused and innovative hi-tech company in telecommunication industry within less than ten years. This paper tries to identify and explain factors which enabled this amazing growth of Nokia in context of Finnish economy and to answer a question of how Nokia sustains its global market leader position through its sophisticated innovation policy and activities. Role of Nokia in Finnish economy and innovation system is studied as well as competitive advantage over its rivals. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
