Impact of Wood Moisture on Gas Emissions Production
Kantor, Tomáš ; Brázdil, Marian (referee) ; Lisý, Martin (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with effect of wood moisture on production of gaseous emissions. Theoretical part is composed by background research dealing with a concept of biomass as a solid fuel and biomass combustion. In practical part, the combustion tests in a fireplace inlay are performed for wood of different moisture content. In conclusion, results are compared with valid emission limits and legislation.
The control system of the combustion system EKOGEM
Holešovský, Petr ; Lisý, Martin (referee) ; Houška, Pavel (advisor)
This master´s thesis deals with automatic control of solid fuel boiler. Main goal of this thesis is to design control system for combustion system EKOGEM. In this thesis is introduced combustion system and its designed control. Thesis describes realization of control system and presents results, in which shows its benefits for combustion system. Control system is realized in NI LabVIEW environment.
Analysis of possibilities to reduce energy consumption of pumps at nuclear power plant
Vícena, Ondřej ; Lisý, Martin (referee) ; Milčák, Pavel (advisor)
The topic of this bachelor’s thesis is the analysis of the possibilities of reducing the energy in-tensity of pumps in a nuclear power plant. Pumps are one of the essential parts of nuclear power plants. They affect the safe operation and at the same time the company’s electricity consumpti-on. This bachelor’s thesis aims to describe how pumping technology in nuclear power plants works and suggest where and what other way can save the operating costs of nuclear power plants. The work consists of theoretical and practical parts. The first part is recherche, where I describe a general introduction to atomic energy, the types of pumps used, and the possibilities of saving electricity during the pumps’ operation. The practical part focuses on calculating power input for the main operating pumps and general modifications of VD - 600 pumps. Based on my calculations, I determined the evaluati-on of the obtained results. The conclusion of the work determines the advantage of using coa-tings on the internal hydraulic spaces of the pump.
Determination of stability of fuel feeding into boiler
Skalický, Michal ; Chýlek, Radomír (referee) ; Lisý, Martin (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the determination of stability of fuel feeding into boiler. The principle of the screw conveyor is described at the beginning of the thesis. It is followed by a description of the individual parts of the worm. The second part of the research deals with the properties of the materials transported. The second half of the bachelor thesis is practical. In this section there are experimentally measured values of flow of sawdust and wood chips. At the end, the measured values are compared and evaluated.
Black Coal Mining in Czech Rep
Vínovský, Jan ; Škorpík, Jiří (referee) ; Lisý, Martin (advisor)
Throughout history, coal mining has dominated the 19th and especially the 20th century. The period of decline in mining began in the 90s. Between 1990 and 2019, there was a decrease of 88.13%, specifically from 30,714 kt to 3,645 kt of mined coal per year. Currently, only four active mines are in operation and the other two are in a conservation state. The forecast for the future of the sector is very unfavorable. In addition to the economic crisis, there are also reserves of extractable coal, which are currently around 25,000 kt. It is currently planned to end mining at the ČSA and Darkov mines at the turn of 2020 and 2021, ČSM Mines should be closed by 2022 at the latest, which will completely end black coal mining in the Moravian-Silesian Region and the entire Czech Republic.
Agropellets for Combustion
Nejerál, Michal ; Lisá, Hana (referee) ; Lisý, Martin (advisor)
Agropellets are one of the alternative fuels which have been used very often nowadays. Therefore, this thesis deals with the use of agropellets as a fuel. It‘s focused on the generation of emissions during combustion. There are described properties of pollutants released during combustion and properties of agropellets. In a sample of selected fuels, the proportion of chemical composition of elements in the combustible and the calculation of their calorific value are experi-mentally determined. Furthermore, we found out the basic elemental composition of the flue gas, which was measured during combustion on the pilot unit.
Price of electricity from biomass
Štěpánek, Petr ; Moskalík, Jiří (referee) ; Lisý, Martin (advisor)
The introduction of the work addresses the definition, creation and distribution of biomass. Below there are the different ways of processing of biomass technology. The third part focuses on the legislative regulation of electricity generation from biomass and the subsidy policy of the state in energy production from biomass. The final section applies the specific use of biomass for heating in city Třebíč.
Verification of Fan parameters
Trnka, Jakub ; Kracík, Petr (referee) ; Lisý, Martin (advisor)
In this bachelor thesis there is dealt about fan and fan parameters. Thesis contains division of fan, description of basic types and it introduces us with fan parameters. Part of thesis contains description of measurement of fan parameters and it’s processing.
Thermal calculation of steam boiler
Růžička, Tomáš ; Lisý, Martin (referee) ; Baláš, Marek (advisor)
The topic of this thesis is the thermal calculation of steam boiler with natural gas fuel. The first part is describing technical characteristic and parametres of the boiler. The main part of this thesis is the thermal calculation of the boiler. The following part deals with determination of steam amount and steam parametres for blowing through pipes of the boiler.
Increasing of electricity production in BGS using steam engine
Nahodil, Jiří ; Baláš, Marek (referee) ; Lisý, Martin (advisor)
This thesis deals with the possibilities of using waste heat for power generation with a focusing on biogas plants (BGS). The produced biogas is mainly used for combustion in cogeneration units with internal combustion piston engines. The first part this paper describes the biogas plants. The division of BGS and the biogas processing is mentioned there. Another part is focused on the combined production of electricity and heat. The principles and description various types of cogeneration technologies are presented here. The following are specific options for waste heat utilization for biogas plants. The last section contains proposals to increase electricity production by the BGS with the steam engine and economic evaluation of these proposals is made.
