The History of a Small-class School in Hradištko
Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
Diagnosing Pupils with Learning Difficulties in the Lower Levels of Primary Schools
Baštová, Martina ; Křivánek, Zdeněk (referee) ; Linková, Marie (advisor)
In my thesis I tried to register how many children from the first classes at Komenského Primary Schoul in Pelhřimov, where I work as a trachet, can be put at risk by one of the specific learning disabilities, particularly dyslexia..I wrote down diagnosed results and I continuously compared the boys' performance to the adjusted girls' performance. I studied if the percentage of children at risk from the diagnose group 4-7 corresponds to the countrywide average of endangered children. If we succeed to lend children with a learning disability or enfeebled function a helping hand and assure a suitable reeducation programme in time on the basis of regular diagnostics at the end of the first form at primary school, disabilities would not deepen, but ameliorate. In the theoretical part I investigated the ideas o f theorists. I concentrated on the concepts o f evaluation and assessm ent, the types and functions o f evaluation and verbal evaluation and marking. I carried out a theoretical analysis o f the advantages and disadvantages o f the exam ined forms of evaluation. The aim o f the practical part was to research and consequently estim ate the current situation, particularly to w hat extent are theorist's opinions related to / different from the school practice. I would like to em phasize that, according to my opinion, two most im portant conclusions come out of my research. None of the discussed w ays of evaluation is more convenient - the best w ould be to com bine and utilize both of them. The parents play indispensable role in the evaluation process. Their cooperation w ith the children and the school helps to shape the evaluation in the w ay that the assessm ent is created by both - the teachers and the pupils. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
