Verification Procedure in Preliminary Proceeding
Linhart, David ; Heranová, Simona (advisor) ; Šelleng, Dalibor (referee)
Verification Procedure in Preliminary Proceedings Abstract This diploma thesis covers the verification procedure, that is the first of the two phases of the stage of criminal proceedings referred to as preliminary proceedings. The goal of the thesis is to provide a comprehensive explanation of the verification procedure, its course, as well as the selected entities involved in it. In the relevant passages related to the selected institutes of the verification procedure, the author defines the rules resulting from other legal regulations, judicial conclusions or conclusions of the professional public beyond the scope of the legal regulation contained in the Criminal Procedure Code. In this context, the author identifies, in relation to the selected institutes, the partial shortcomings of the current legislation, which are being compared with the legislation contained in the current draft of the new Criminal Procedure Code, which is the unfinished result of the efforts to recodify criminal procedural law. The first part of this thesis presents an introduction to the topic and discusses the issue of criminal proceedings, its purpose, and its division into individual stages. Within the individual stages of criminal proceedings, the stage of preliminary proceedings, its internal division, and its forms are...
Empathy in patients with anxiety disorders - pilot study of capturing change during a psychotherapeutic stay
Linhart, David ; Preiss, Marek (advisor) ; Křížová, Ivana (referee)
This diploma thesis was created as a part of a doctoral research project of Mgr. Ing. Sofia Diondet, and was a basis for two other diploma theses of Bc. Nikola Hanušová and Bc. Michaela Škrábová. It studied empathy in patients with anxiety disorders and its main aim was to capture change in empathy within this population after a 7week psychotherapeutic stay. Thesis had several secondary aims: to verify lower level of empathic functioning in anxiety patients and an existence of a positive relationship of self and interview rated empathy; also, to determine whether there is a relationship between empathy and anxiety symptoms. To achieve this, two groups were created: experimental (N = 50) consisting of anxiety patients and control group (N = 19) consisting of healthy volunteers of which 12 finished both examinations. Scores of em- pathic functioning measured by STiP-5.1 and LPFS-BF 2.0 were taken before and after the 7week psychotherapeutic stay along with scores of Beck's questionnaires of anxiety and de- pression. To analyse the data non- parametric Wilcoxon and Mann-Whitney tests, ANOVA (Kruskal-Wallis) and Spearman's correlation coefficient were used. Total emphatic functioning and all its facets improved (scores decreased) after psychotherapeutic stay in the experimental group; though the only...
The relationship of impulsivity, in-game purchases and game patterns with symptoms of problematic gaming (IGD) in smartphone gamers
Linhart, David ; Lukavská, Kateřina (advisor) ; Vanek, Marián (referee)
This thesis examined predictors of Internet gaming disorder (IGD) and tried to verify, based on quantitative research, its relationship with impulsivity, in-game purchases within a specific free-to-play RPG game and game patterns (frequency of logins during a day, level of participation regarding game events and a period of playing a specific game) in smartphone gamers. The relationship between impulsivity and in-game purchases was also examined. Firstly, in the theoretical part, the theory of behavioural addiction was introduced, attention was then dedicated to characterization of IGD, its current conceptualization, topical model of development and maintenance, prevalence, consequences and etiological factors, after that, factors researched in this thesis, were theoretically explained. Cross-sectional design was used to examine these relationships by sending questionnaires to Czechoslovak gamers using a channel in an app Discord. Impulsivity was measured by a short version of a UPPS-P scale, to measure Internet gaming disorder an IGDT questionnaire was used, while in-game purchases were measured by self-categorization inspired by previous research and new questionnaires were created for game patterns. To analyse the data t-tests, ANOVA, correlation analysis, linear regression and binominal...
