Cost analysis of remote and in office pacemaker check ups after device replacement from the perspective of health care payer

Current pacemakers allow check up of their function using telemonitoring. Even so, the majority of the checks are carried out on an outpatient basis. It is not known, whether remote follow ups of the patients after pacemaker replacement would be cost-effective compared to in-office controls. A retrospective analysis of patients files of patients after pacemaker replacement in 2002-2005 in Faculty hospital of Kralovske Vinohrady was done. A total of 1407 records from the years 2002-2015 was analyzed. It was demonstrated that the vast majority (96%) of planned controls of these patients was not associated with a change of program of the pacemaker, so it could be performed remotely. Based on the obtained data a model, which compared the cost-effectiveness of outpatient and theoretically made remote controls of pacemakers was created. Using an analysis of cost minimalization, it was found that the remote controls of pacemakers, was not associated with a significant reduction of the costs compared to the ambulatory controls.
Financial analysis of selected medical devices: Regional Hospital Jičín, a.s.

The aim of the Diploma thesis is to evaluate the financial situation of the health facility Regional Hospital Jicin a.s., using selected methods of financial analysis. The work is divided into two parts: theoretical and practical. The theoretical part summarizes the principles and methodology of financial analysis. This part is also describing the specification in health field. The practical part is describing the analyzed healthcare-technical equipment. It is followed by practical implementation of financial analysis which analyses the management of Hospital Jicin, a. s. A partial aim of this Diploma thesis is to analyze the possibilities of medical equipment revenue, which is presented by the PEST analysis. In conclusion, based on evidence described in the analytical part of the thesis are proceeding some proposals and recommendations that could lead to more effective management of medical equipment
Transformation of regional hospitals driven by changes method

The thesis focuses on describing the transformation process of the merger of five hospitals Vysocina region in one functional unit, through the use Kotter model of changes. Due to influence the process of changing interest groups, to the extent described the process of analysis of the influence of interest groups in order to determine the method of communication between these groups and the team implementing change. The content of the thesis is also developing an action plan to implement the changes by determining the time frame for individual operations.
Specifics of trade and business in the French region of Ile-de-France in relation to cooperation with the Czech Republic

The aim of this thesis is to evaluate the status of the region of Ile-de-France using a comparison of indicators within the PEST analysis and a survey questionnaire that identifies factors that affect business conditions in cooperation with the Czech Republic. In this thesis there are described the most important information about Ile-de-France, socio-cultural and economic characteristics, the business environment of the region and the relations between the Czech Republic and the region of Ile-de-France. The survey questionnaire was given to 46 Czech companies which entered the market of the region of Ile-de-France. Also the survey questionnaire and the results of the PEST analysis helped to identify opportunities and threats for Czech companies that intend to enter the regional market. In conclusion, there is an evaluation of what type of companies has a chance of success when entering and how it is possible to enhance cooperation between the region of Ile-de-France and the Czech Republic.
Impact of the Financing of Health Care System on its Performance

The main topic of the thesis is the performance of the health system and its financing as its possible influence. It is based on studies Éric Tchouaketa et al., which assesses the performance of health systems 27 OECD countries, the study states that the best rated countries Australia, Finland, France, Japan, Norway and Sweden, while the Czech Republic lags significantly and is ranked among the States with limited performance health system. The issue that these studies have not addressed is the reason for these differences. The paper summarizes the methods of financing health systems in Finland, Norway and Sweden, which are then compared with the Czech Republic. A further deals with the performance itself, the way it used studies measure the performance and the performance influence.

The practical part contains a brief description of the specific project and a specific structure and contents of the Project manual of a specific large construction project, this document is the main managing document of the large construction project.

I focused on historical development in the context of health insurances, their position in Czech market through their size, amount of insured, incomes and costs. I compare the whole system with Slovak market. I also focus on rate of competiton between health insurance companies in the Czech republic.
Stressogenic Factors in a Health-Care Facility

This thesis deals with work-related stress and stressors of medical staff, doctors and nurses. The aim is to expound this issue and to determine the level of stressors influencing the medical staff in given hospitals. As first in the theoretical section, the characteristics and specifics of medical profession are described, thereafter personality traits supposed for this profession. The second chapter describes stress, which medical staff is burdened with, and concrete typical stressors as well. The third chapter concerns burnout syndrome, which is a possible consequence of long-acting stress. The fourth and last chapter is devoted to the prevention and coping of stress and burnout. The practical section presents the evaluation of the survey concerning effect of stressors on the medical staff of four selected hospitals. According to the ascertained results are outlined measures for improving the situation and preventing acting stressors.
Optimization of Storage of Medicines in Pharmacy

This thesis deals with the optimization of stocks of medicines in the pharmacy. The goal is to find a connection when dealing with inventory optimization drugs. First is the optimization of inventories as such. It is also discussed the situation in the pharmaceutical market in different ATC groups in the Czech Republic. Selected methods is processed inventory optimization of specific drugs in the existing pharmacy equipment.
