KUČEROVÁ, Tereza
This bachelor thesis deals with differences in reading in English by pupils with and without dyslexia. It focuses on speed, error rate and error quality in the reading process. The aim of this work is to compare speed and error rate in English reading by dyslectic and comparative group and to find links between them by use of quantitative methods. Further, the work is concerned with types of errors made by dyslectics when reading; these are examined using qualitative methods. In the first part of the work is described theoretical basis of learning disabilities as well as the influence of dyslexia on English language acquisition. Moreover, possible ways of re-education of dyslexia in English language learning are suggested there. In the practical part of the work are used reading tests for English and Czech language to find out speed and error rate, which are afterwards compared by dyslectic and comparative group. Thesis results are usable for pedagogical-psychological diagnostics the same as for English teaching by pupils with dyslexia.

China in Africa - development and motives of cooperation
Kučerová, Tereza ; Dvořáková, Vladimíra (advisor) ; Knotková, Vladimíra (referee)
The China-African relations have a tradition of several centuries. However, in last two decades, the character of their relations changes and is getting the dimension of a phenomenon. Currently, China is in a very advantageous position - one leg in the developing world, the other in the developed one. Its economic growth reaches about ten percent a year and its economy has enlarged beyond the state's frontiers. China thus becomes dependent on the international trade in both export and import of sources. The African continent can offer both. This situation, however, is hardly compatible with the role of a superpower which China desires and which is attributed to it by many specialists. This thesis analyses three motives of mutual cooperation - commerce, raw materials and political and strategic interests. Its aim is to give a compact and comprehensive picture which will prove the trueness of the three motives. For better accession and understanding, case studies of selected countries are an integral part of the thesis.
