Comparision of methods for nonlinear dynamic sytems solution

The aim of this work is to make a solution of nonlinear dynamic system with one degree of freedom using various approximate analytical methods and perform their comparison. The beginning of the work describes the basic characteristics of nonlinear dynamic systems, methods of modelling and a description of the basic analytical methods of solution. In the following part is the solution of the system using described methods and comparing of results. In conclusion the methods are compared with final element method by program ANSYS.

Frequency analysis of the blades of the steam turbine impeller

The master thesis deals with modal analysis of the blade of the steam turbine impeller. This analysis is made to find the frequency response of the blade in order to predict the dangerous speeds of the steam turbine. At first the problem situation is described. Than follows the research study which is focused on steam turbines and especially on the rotor dynamic systems and the way to ascertain the modal parameters of the dynamic system by experiment. After that the solution of the problem is performed by computational modelling. The results of the computation are analyzed in detail for different variations of the blade length by Campbell diagram. A graph showing dependency between dangerous speeds of the turbine and the blade length is made out of the results. Then the results are verified by experiment and the coefficients of proportional damping are specified. In conclusion the optimal variation of the blade length for the given operational state is determined.

This doctoral thesis is concerned with political socialization issues in relation to the formation of modern political culture and modern politics by comparing Austro-Hungarian Monarchy (in particular Cisleithania) with Russian Empire (in particular the European parts of the territory). It is focused on the political and socialization strategies introduced between 1875 and 1918 through education. By comparative approach and the textual analysis of the contemporary textbooks it examines the following issue areas: 1) the legitimation strategies of the imperial narrative of history, 2) the participants of the political action within and outside this narrative, 3) the description of the political structure of the empire with respect to the role of an individual as well as to the ethnic, religious and cultural heterogeneity of both empires, 4) the formation of the attitudes to the concept of politics.
