Fears of workers in low - threshold institutions for children and youth

81 Abstract The presented diploma thesis solves fears which are experienced by workers in low-threshold institutions for children and youth (NZDM) in their ongoing contact work. The theoretical articles are focused on the description of NZDM - it's principles, target group, methods and protective mechanisms of work. The following articles describes workers in NZDM. Due to the topic of diploma thesis, the fears are defined in the next articles. The research part of the thesis solves meanings and experiencing of fears using the interpretative phenomenological analysis by A. Smith. The analysis outcome is of high importance experiencing frustration, uncertainty and refusal. The fears are experienced in the background of their own personal life experiences, in the clients specific lives, in the relationship with clients, experiencing competency and work requirements. The most commented values are the intrapsychical safety and self-esteem. The analysis also shows the protective strategies for coping with the fears. Workers talked about the benefits of the experienced problems.
Dog as a friend, dog as a therapist

Anotation I have divaded text to the four main chapters I have devided the thext in four main chapters: Dog influence on human psyche, Zootherapy, Guiding and assistance dogs and Canistherapy. In my view, i summarize all ways how dog can help a person, therapeutically or by assistance. I was first introduced to the topic with the book:"Pes lékařem lídské duše", written by MUDr. Lenka Galajdová. More scientific title for me was the book, written by Prof. MUDr. Miloš Veleminský CSc., "Zooterapie ve světle objektivních poznatků". The book that i used third most frequently was " Animoterapie aneb Jak nás zvířata umí léčit", by Prof MUDr. Zoran Nerandžič. Also valuable resource for my work were the websites of organizations (SVVP, Helppes, Pomocné tlapky), where can be found general and specific informations. I choosed these organizations, because in my opinion, these organizations are the most famous and largest. As a part of my work, i had a opportunity to see canistherapy in practice at different target groups of clients. I also had the honor of having an interview with Misa Holasova, who is the owner of two guide dogs and a staff member for the "Středisko výcviku vodících psů". The prevention of the extreme social exclusion

The Diploma thesis the Preventation of the extreme social exclusion is focused on the issue of the long-term homelessness. Using available literature it tries to find information explaining the consequences of the depressive life condition in the form of the extreme social exclusion and life without any home. Furthermore the thesis is focused on the homelessness as a multifactorial pathological phenomenon. The Diploma thesis is therefore focused on the specific terms, facts and consequences connected with the condition of the long-term homelessness. The theoretical part is concentrated on the study of the human needs based on the humanistic conception of a personality and Maslow's hierarchy of needs. Moreover the text describes the methods of the help during the social work with the homeless people and introduces social services according to the monitoring of the needs of the people in the long- term social exclusion. Another part of the thesis is dedicated to the social services in the capital city Prague. The practical part is focused on the needs of the homeless people. The needs and the applicability of the available social services were inquired with the means of interviews, studies of the documentation and observing in the community of homeless people.
Protecting children's rights in the Czech Republic

This thesis was initially concerning protecting children's rights. Due to wide variety of this topic, it was neccesary to focuss the thesis more specificly. I decided to explore the field of work with childen from desintegrating families, where there is also a difficult parental conflict. Content is divided into two integrated parts. In the first one, there was build the theoretical bases using variety of sources and authors in three different chapters. First chapter concerned desintegrating of families, its psychological, legal and sociologic contexts and effects. Second chapter reflected the history of defending rights of children and there were also analysed both czech and international documents on protection of children's rights. I also analysed the term "best child's interest" and its impact on practising the law. In the third chapter I described different approaches in work with desintegrating families, including nameless current approach practised in the Czech Republic, the Cohem praxis and others, less known approaches. In the second part, the practical segment of my work was presented. The project of research included interviews with seven professionals. Judges, family councelors and social workes have taken part in the research of changes, which would be beneficial for nowaday's approach...
Qualified training of social workers in crisis intervention

This master's thesis deals with a preparation of a qualification training for social workers that work with a client in crisis. It examines what are the requirements for the social worker and his range of further training. It also focuses on a social worker custody to a client who found himself in a crisis situation. It solves whether, and how the social workers are prepared to these difficult situations. Theoretical knowledge, as a type of client, koncept and types of crisis situations and attitudes and competences of a social worker to the solution of the crisis, are used in practical part of this master's thesis, which is made up of case reports with subsequent analysis. In conclusion the importance of the knowledge and skills of social workers are documented by questionnaire. Using the comparative method, I would like to highlight the developments in this field during the last five years. For comparison is outlined the care for a human in crisis in Switzerland and Bulgaria. The goal of my thesis is to make this field more approachable not only to social workers who encounter people in crisis in the course of their work, but also to all people who may find them- selves in crisis.
The Labour Market Assertion of Persons with Physical Disability

The thesis deals with the application of persons with disabilities in the labor market. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with the notion of disability and classification of body defects. Explains the concept of labor market, human capital and protected labor market. Also deals with the instruments to support the employment of people with disabilities and related legislation on this matter. Further focuses on barriers in the access of persons with disabilities on the labor market. The aim of the practical part of the reply to the main research question: what kinds of barriers are faced by persons with disabilities in finding employment on the open labor market? To answer that question the qualitative research was done using semi-structured interviews with clients Asistence o.p.s.
Guardianship in the Czech Republic

The diploma thesis deals with guardianship for people with mental illness. The tehoretical part is divided into six chapters, where the concept of mental disorder is defined within various documents. Furthermore the process of stigmatization, both from the family and the health care professionals, is also discussed here as self - esteem as a serious consequence of society's access to mental illness. The student also mentioned the process of providing psychiatric care, outlined the reform of psychatric care as a significant milestone in health care. A greta part of the theory consits od a complete description of a guardianship and self - administration. The last chapter focuses on social work with people with mental illnesss. The practical part aims to find out how the guardianship system for people with mental disorders works and how custodians loom at guardianship. The student used qualitative surveys ans semi - structured interviews. Using open encoding , several categories were identified and then responded to the main research question.
The quality of life of young unemployed people via WHOQOL - BREF survey

The presented diploma thesis in its theoretical part introduces the reader to the issue of the quality of life. This polysemantical term, which can be hardly defined, is based on a wide range of views and applicable approaches. The first chapter deals with the definition and description of basic and related concepts. The second part describes the instruments of social policy, employment policy and its division. The conclusion of the thesis offers an objective and subjective measures of the quality of life, which were applied to the author's examined districts, whose respondents were young unemployed within thirty years of age.
Prevention in Social Work and in School Environment

Diploma thesis is focused on prevention in social work and in school environment. It presents possibility of interdisciplinary cooperation by creation of school social worker position. Emphasis is put particularly on bullying as one of the form of risky behavior. Theoretical part of the work defines topics such as social prevention, prevention in school environment, school social worker and school bullying. Practical part of the thesis elaborates on selected interviews with school employees, family members and social workers using grounded theory approach. Focus of the analysis is put on inter-role cooperation in primary prevention of school bullying.
