Jaromir Konecny: life and work

This diploma thesis presents german writting author Jaromír Konečný who is of Czech origin. The first chapter hereof describes his unconventional biografy on the way to the current status of the established writer including issues related to his emigration. J. Konečný, who emigrated from contemporary Czechoslovakia in 1982 and settled in Munich where he lives up to the present day, came through as a stage hack in the new literary form "poetry slam" in the Federal Republic of German in the second half of the nineties. This phenomeon is given to the second, more comprehensive chapter describing its creation and development in the USA, Germany and the Czech Republic as well as his current forward-looking situation. The concluding chapter of this section presents J. Konečný as a "poetry slammer". The following part of the thesis deals with a J. Konečný's piece and describes its developement as a writer. After a detailed bibliography and a plot summary of all his books there follows a chapter with general characteristics of the J. Konečný's piece with subchapters dealing with books for youth, with autobiography and topic of sexuality, completed by reviews and criticism of his book.
