eGovernment from the perspective of interest groups.

This diploma thesis called eGovernment from the perspective of interest groups engages with the current topic of the usage of eGovernment in the Czech Republic. The main goal of the thesis is to identify the main benefits and drawbacks of used eGovernment services from the perspective of selected interest groups. Supportive goals of the thesis are to identify interest groups that can view this issue differentially and characterize the actual status of eGovernment in the Czech Republic. A part of this thesis also focuses on the comparison of eGovernment status among the Visegrad Group countries. Benefits and drawbacks of eGovernment are identified by multiple methods, mainly by quantitative pre-research and qualitative research performed by the author of this thesis in the form of questionnaires and interviews with the representatives of selected interest groups. Prior to both types of research, the author conducted SWOT analyses of eGovernment services is conducted from the perspective of all selected interested groups. Current Problems of Czech Medical Assessment Service and Suggestions for Possible Solution

The aim of the thesis is to identify all current problems of The Medical Assessment Service and to suggest possible changes and recommendations that could make the system more effective. In the theoretical part is used the concept of the welfare state and points out its crisis of efficiency. Furthermore, the development of the field of Assessment Medicine and its current form was described. In the analytical part was selected an analysis of the information content of documents, which helped to identify all problems and their gradual development. The analysis was also used to propose changes and recommendations. An expert interview was conducted to substantiate the results of the analysis.
Reintegration of people after alcohol treatment into daily life

This diploma thesis deals with an issue of treatment of alcohol dependence and the process of social inclusion of people who have undergone this process. The thesis provides an overview of services and other forms of assistance that are targeted at this group. Attention is paid mainly to the current set-up of the services and assistance system to identify strong and weak aspects of the system. The work is based on a qualitative research. The research was conducted throught expert interviews and interviews with users of these services. Theoretical basis of the work is the ethiology of addiction, which offers various explanations of the origin and persistence of the problem of alcohol dependence. The work also uses the findings of the life course perspective, which allows to map the life trajectories of the interviewees, including the recognition of key events in their lives affecting the emergence and development of addicton. The last theoretical starting point of the work is the concept of social inclusion.
Fiscal and Budget council as actor in Public Policy

The diploma thesis deals with the issue of fiscal and budget councils. The aim of the work is the analysis of the Czech Fiscal Council, which was established in 2018 and is a new element in the Czech system of fiscal and budgetary policy. Firstly, basic concepts such as public finance, fiscal and budgetary policy are defined. Subsequently, the sources of inefficiency are introduced, which affect the emergence of fiscal imbalances, and thus public debt. The basic idea for the establishment of fiscal and budget councils is the concept of Fiscal Governance, which can be divided into rules excepting to the councils. Numerical rules are currently a frequently used tool for assessing fiscal discipline. These rules are complemented by councils, which act as independent institutions. Due to the recent emergence, the practical part of the work analyses the Czech Fiscal Council regarding the foreign experience of independent fiscal and budget councils. Based on the results, it can be stated, that the Czech Fiscal Council does not deviate from the existing experience, on the contrary, it fits appropriately into this portfolio.
Telemedicine as a means of strengthening the role of patients

This bachelor thesis focuses on how physicians perceive the use of telemedicine and information and communication technologies (ICT) in their practice. The work responds to the situation associated with covid-19, which has had an impact on increasing of ICT and telemedicine in healthcare. The aim of this work is also to find out how physicians can strengthen the role of patients in the physician-patient relationship and whether ICT or other digital technologies help them with this. The whole theoretical part is devoted to the relationship between physician and patient, where the shift of medical care from paternalism to consumerism is reflected and the theoretical concepts of patient centered care and patient empowerment are presented. The research data were obtained through semi-structured interviews with 9 physicians who are in regular contact with their patients and have at least minimal experience with the use of ICT in their practice. The interviews were then analyzed using a thematic analysis, which showed that telemedicine and ICT contribute to strengthening the role of patients. Chinese Healthcare System in Welfare State Typology

The author studied the welfare state typology in China from a health care perspective. This study aims to figure out what type of welfare typology works in Chinese health care system through comparative welfare state typology, specifically the decommodification principle proposed by Esping-Andersen (2019) and health care decommodification index put forward by Bambra (2006). Studying the classification of Chinese welfare state typology by analysing the Chinese health care system and comparing it with other countries in the world within the scope of welfare state typology, helps China enhancing the public administration. The author found that China belongs to medium decommodification group which means it is the same decommodification level as Conservative-Corporatist regimes, but also indicates there's a huge improvement potential to high decommodification group in the future. The image of alcohol in the Czech TV as a public service broadcaster

This diploma thesis deals with the media representation of alcohol and its excessive consumption on Czech Television as a public service broadcaster. It also focuses on ways to regulate alcohol in the form of behavioural nudges which can be used both within alcohol policy of the Czech Republic in general and the broadcasting of Czech Television. The thesis identifies not only possibilities of using the nudge theory, which can have a beneficial effect on human decision making, but also interprets media framing used for representation of alcohol on Czech Television. Alcohol is portrayed within Czech Television programmes as well as within TV commercials, therefore a case study dealing with alcohol advertising broadcasted on Czech Television was added to the analysis. The analytical part of the thesis was created on the basis of a qualitative framing analysis and with the aid of desk research I revealed the possibilities of nudging both in alcohol policy and in the Czech Television broadcasting. Above all, this thesis emphasises the fact that the framing process has a significant position in human decision making, and that is why it's necessary to pay adequate attention to this process in alcohol policy making.
Satisfaction of health care workers with their wages in a selected hospital in Slovakia

This bachelor thesis focuses on the satisfaction of healthcare workers of a selected department in a hospital in Slovakia with their salary. The main goal of this work is to determine the degree of satisfaction of health professionals with their salary and to find the most important factors of their job satisfaction. In the theoretical part of the thesis, the author presents health policy, its goals and actors and Slovak health policy in the context of public policy. Subsequently, this work presents the legal forms of hospitals in Slovakia according to valid legislation. Furthermore, the author presents the methods of health care financing and health care financing directly in Slovakia. In the practical part of the work, the author focuses on the salary evaluation of health workers and measures of the governments of the Slovak Republic in the period 2010 - 2020 in the context of salary evaluation of health professionals. In the next part of the work, the author briefly presents the object of research and the research itself, carried out using a questionnaire survey. The changing image of the self-employed during the coronavirus crisis

The diploma thesis deals with labour market issues in relation to a selected group of self- employed persons during the coronavirus crisis of 2020. The main goal of the thesis deals with mapping and comparing the change of approach to self-employment during the coronavirus crisis from perspective of the theory of social construction of target populations by Ingram and Schneider. The main goal of the thesis was supplemented by four research questions that deal with the transformation of the social structure of the self-employed during a pandemic, the resulting policy, the tools used in employment policy and the variability of topics that appeared in the media in relation to self-employment. In the introduction, the reader gets acquainted with the development of the researched issues, statistics and the main theories and concepts that have been used. The second part describes the methodology of the work, such as research methods and data analysis. Following this, the work presents the results of the analysis of events, where was created a timeline of the development of selected measures.
