Happening in public space and its influence on public policy. Case: Loaf bathing season in Smíchov.

This bachelor thesis is focused on one of the forms of creative activism in the public space - happening, its ability to change public policy and to highlight problems in society. The main line of this work was to determine the mechanisms and in which stage of the public policy cycle was political process influenced by Happening " Loafbathing season in Smichov". Another goal was to find out how Happening addressed the participants and which subjects were targeted. Theoretical support for the achievement of the objectives of the thesis was the phase model of the public policy cycle, which works with the idea of politics as a system of several partial processes. The objectives of the thesis were achieved by qualitative research under the auspices of a case study, ie intensive investigation of one case. The main source of data in this case was in-depth semi-structured interviews with the four types of actors, which showed in this particular case that the main mechanisms that influenced the public policy process at the stage of public policy implementation were media and The public, both mechanisms interact each other.

The thesis concerns the causes why do graduates of the Faculty of Philosophy and Arts at the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen perform better on the labour market than their colleagues at the Faculty of Philosophy and Arts at the University of Pardubice. The thesis tries to find out what factors it is caused by. It wants to contribute to identify the appropriate measures to improve the employability of the humanities graduates. We distinguish between external and internal factors. The selection of all factors is explained and justified in detail. External factors are labour market segmentation and regional labour market situation. Internal factors are prestige of the college, professional experience while studying, extent of emphasis on soft skills in teaching and range of career counselling. The thesis is two case studies and its goal is to offer a profound and comprehensive understanding of the phenomenon being researched. Structured interviews with employees of career centres of the University of Pardubice and the University of West Bohemia were utilised. However, the basis of the thesis is the study duties analysis of the students at these faculties. Professionalization and its impact on sectoral identity of non-governmental organizations in the Czech Republic

The aim of this thesis is to explore a new phenomenon of professionalization in the non-governmental organizations and its impact on the sectoral identity of non-governmental organizations that are targeted to handicapped people. Because of the modernization a trend of professionalisation enters to non profit sector. This process changes the structure of organizations. The most important changes are a spreading of professional knowledge that leads to increasing of professionals in organizations. Other changes are the division of labour, changes in the hierarchy and the structure of the organization, the accessibility for the public, financing, and also that professionals start to have a bigger impact on organizations. This transformation changes characteristics of sectoral identity of non-givernmental organizations that are starting to be similar to public administratiion institutions or to commercial subjects. The basic hypothesis of this thesis is: The more proffesionalized the organizations are the less characteristics of sectoral identity they show. The sectoral identity is a concept that was determined for this thesis according to the definitiion of non-governemnetal organizations of Salamon and Anheier. Richard Kokeš Expert knowledge and its role within the chosen parliamentary political parties Abstract One of the pressures on the political parties made by contemporary society is to create their own expert knowledge based alternatives of solutions of issues so that the proposed solution would be socially efficient and chosen right. That is the reason why the parties have to create mechanisms of generation of expertise and also the sources through which the expert knowledge for their public policies are gained. This paper is focused on these sources of expertise for making higher education public policies which are made by the political parties of Parliament of the Czech Republic, namely KSČM, ČSSD and TOP09. This topic has never been studied before so this paper is conceived as exploratory multi-case study and it tries to reach all possible dimensions of higher education public policy expertise issue. The study questions are what kind of mechanism each political party uses for generation higher education public policy expertise and the how generated expertise reaches the ideas of each political party.
