Social advertising opportunities in the practice of the Czech social work

The diploma thesis "Social advertising opportunities in the practice of the Czech social work" is devoted to the relatively new advertising genre for our society- the social advertising, and how social workers can now use this type of advertising in their activities. The thesis defines the concept of public service advertising, describes the history of its origin and the level of development in some countries, and also by whom and for what purposes it is mainly used. The author aims to answer the question whether PSA can be considered as one of the tools of the social work, which gives us an opportunity to draw public attention to the existing social problems, find ways to solve these problems and prevent the occurrence of new pathological phenomena. The diploma thesis also focuses on social marketing, which is closely related to social advertising and should be used for the success of any social campaign, as well as on new trends in the activities of commercial organizations. A personal assistance for people with mental disorder in chosen areas

The diploma thesis attends to personal assistance for people with mental disorder. The thesis is divided on theoretic and experimental part. The theoretic section describes people with mental disorder and summarises problems of personal assistance comprehensively. This part also gives an overview of contemporary services and trends in care for people with mental infliction in the Czech Republic. The experimental section consists of two parts. The first part focuses on mapping and basic characteristics of organization offering personal assistance to people with mental disorderb in Královéhradecký region and Prague. The data found out in both regions are comapared to each other. The aim of the second part of the research is to learn information and attitude of users' parents to service provided in chosen regions. Diploma thesis Possibilities of independence and reintegration of clients using long term transitional housing for homeless people - focusing on Prague deals with problem of barriers in a reintegration process of homeless people. It is a primarily unavailability of follow up affordable housing and non-existent system of social housing in the Czech republic. The consequence is long term remain in the transitional housing or in a hostel without possibility of full return to the society. This problem is not resolved neither providing social benefits for housing. Because often the people in need don't get them or the benefits are abused by the owners of the hostels. This metod of solving is very overpriced and unpromising for the future. The solution could be creating a system of the social housing, which would include a few levels of housing which would follow one another. The top would be an ordinary affordable housing. This bachelor thesis "The Contemporary Care of Social Workers in the Czech Republic: Its manners, form and possibilities with a specific focus on the role of unific organizations" is focused on the care of social workers as well as on the organizations that union social workers and their role in this field. The work provides comparison of employee care systems in fire brigades, rescue workers, and social workers with aim to the "first line staff". First of all, the thesis describes the care systems theory in terms of human resources management; subsequently it gives characterization of employee benefits in previously mentioned institutions. Practical part of the thesis is aimed to the problem of the involvement of social workers unions and other organizations in the area of the employee care. It investigates the way they deal with the care of social workers and also tries to uncover their future plans.
Role of social worker in hospitals. Support and help provided to families with disabled child of pre-school age

The thesis deals with social work at hospital, exactly with job descripton of social worker at hospital, with support which he receives during performance of work and conditions under which he performs the work. In the theoretical part there are defined terms social work and social worker, his competence and approach to clients, hospital, patient and client. It also deals with ethical codex. Then it deals with disability and its types. It deals with family and educational styles, situation of families with child with disability, different social benefit from social welfare scheme which they can be entitled to and social services which they can use. It discusses also attitude of parents to children with disability and process of coping with this reality. Next part deals with social work at hospital, defining social work at the hospital, his education and job description requirements. There is also mentioned the term quality of life, which should social worker bear in mind during work with clients. In practial part there is analysed work of social workers at the hospital with the aim to describe their amount and activities. How are people with mental handicap informed about sexuality

This thesis deals with the awareness of people with mental handicap in the area of sexuality and relationships. In the theoretical section defines mental handicap and describes in detail the issues of sexuality and partner relationships for people with mental handicap. This description includes human sexuality and its importace, stereotypes about sexuality of people with mental handicap and its specifications, legal documents pertaining to this issue and its current status. The theoretical part closes the chapter, which charts the possibility of sources of information on sexuality and partner relationships for people with mental handicap. Practical work examines how people with mental handicap know about sexuality and relationships and what sources they draw information. The research method was semi-structured interviews with 5 women and 5 men with mental handicap. At the end of the work there are several recommendation for non profit organization workers how to work with their clients.
Home with special arrangements for children and adults with autism with challenging behaviour in Libčice nad Vltavou

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to introduce a social service Home with special arrangements for children and adults with autism with challenging behaviour in Libčice nad Vltavou and the work and professional leading a team of personal assistants in direct care with this target group. With the use of professional publications, the outputs of the research and my own experience, I provide the reader an overview of autism spectrum disorders and the specifics of working with people with these disorders associated with problem behaviour. I am talking also about a possible professional leading a team of staff in direct care with people with autism. There is the research as a part of this bachelor thesis, during which I would like to acknowledge the importance of teamwork, supervision and continuing education. To name the potential strengths or weaknesses in leadership, to encourage the existing method or potential changes in it. This research may also help during formation of a new team, in case of creating a new home with special arrangements for this target group.
