The analysis of physiological and social risks of COVID-19 disease
Hamplová, Dana ; Klusáček, Jan ; Adámková, Věra
The report brings results of the survey exploring the level of collective immunity against the virus SARS-CoV-2. The survey took place in May 2020. The study demonstrated a low prevalence of antibodies against the virus. Besides collecting blood samples, test subjects were asked to fill in a questionnaire about the willingness to follow the epidemiological recommendations. The survey demonstrated that individuals belonging to the risk groups (in terms of chronic diseases) do not use more protective measure than people without any risk comorbidity. The protective behavior was linked mainly to age and sex. The willingness to follow the recommendations was also significantly influenced by the type of media that the respondent uses as a source of information (those drawing information from internet showed significantly lower willingness to follow the recommendations).

Implementation of control algorithm in application with several accumulation systems
Non-formal education of children: How the family affects the choice of extracurricular activities
Čerňanská, Sára ; Mouralová, Magdalena (advisor) ; Klusáček, Jan (referee)
This bachelor thesis deals with the non-formal education of children, focusing in particular on the description of factors influencing college-educated parents when choosing extracurricular activities for their children, who spend an average of 5 hours per week in extracurricular activities. In the thesis, I focus on primary school children as at this age parents are the key factor that affects children's education and they are the ones from whom the patterns of behaviour and values are transmitted. The aim is to find out what influences parents in choosing extracurricular activities, the extent to which children are participating in the selection and how parents share their roles in providing extracurricular activities. In the research eleven interviews were conducted, on which content analysis was carried out accordingly. The result is a description of factors that affect all parents to a similar extent as the child's personality, interest, age, and the distance of extracurricular activities from home. The main findings are different concepts of non-formal education of some respondents, their distinct levels of control and intervention in the selection, and various ideas as to how their child should spend time. According to these aspects, the three parental prototypical approaches were developed....
Transformation and Deinstitutionalization in Substitutional Child Care System in the Czech Republic
Potužníková, Michaela ; Kotrusová, Miriam (advisor) ; Klusáček, Jan (referee)
Substitutional child care is an indispensable part of system of social and legal protection of children. Until 1989, institutional care was preferred, while after the fall of communist government it had been gradually replaced by substitutional family care, because of the inappropriateness of institutional care to fully compensate for family environment. Deinstitutionalization means transforming the system of placing children to alternative care and it is understood as transition from institutional care to types of substitutional family care, eventually to more individual type of care with more family character. An amendment to the Social and Legal Children Protection Act, which aimed at transforming the system of substitutional care towards more individual work with endangered children, came into force in 2013. The amendment restored the institute of temporary foster care and modified the institute of long-term foster care. Moreover it set up system rules for the work of social and legal children protection authorities, it focused on prevention concerning endangered children etc. The goal of the thesis is to evaluate changes in the area of deinstitutionalization of substitutional child care in the Czech Republic after the amendment to the Social and Legal Children Protection Act from 2013, especially...
Transmition of generalized trust
Klusáček, Jan ; Hamplová, Dana (advisor) ; Sedláčková, Markéta (referee)
The thesis deals with the inter-generational transmission of generalized trust. The generalized trust (as an optimistic attitude toward interaction with unknown people) is known as an important component of social capital and as a requirement of a functioning society. The starting point is the cultural view of the trust as the moral norm with deep historical roots, according to these theories we are learning to trust in early childhood from our parents. The motivation for the creation of the thesis is an absence of recent studies and studies from post-socialist countries on the topic of transmission of trust from parents to children. The cultural theories of generalized trust are assuming intergenerational transmission of trust largely without empirical evidence. The proving of trust socialization could provide an insight into the stability of attitude over time and space. The data from the first wave of The Czech Household Panel Survey from 2015 was used to analyse the connection between the children's generalized trust and the parents' generalized trust. The relationship between children's and parents' generalized trust was discovered. The hypothesis suggesting a stronger influence of the mother on the child's trust than the influence of the father was not confirmed. The children of...
Distributed Framework for Testing Machine Learning Methods
Klusáček, Jan
When designing new Machine learning (ML) methods, solid testing is very important part of process. This article describes a framework that was created for automated testing and comparison of different ML methods. This framework allows to automate most of tedious and recurrent tasks related to comparison and testing of new methods. It consists of two parts. First part is intended for work with results of ML methods. It allows to compare results of different methods with different settings. It allows to create tables and graph from these results and it also perform statistical tests on these results. It is often necessary to perform considerable number of test runs on different datasets and with different settings for purpose of comparison and statistical test. For these reasons it is advisable to automate these tasks as much as possible. Automation of these tasks is purpose of second part of this framework. It allows to divide, plan and execute tasks on remote machines. Whole framework is written using Python and Django framework allowing to easily extend customize it for particular task.
