On the first above-ground floor, right after the entrance, there is a shared stroller and bicycle storage room. Additionally, there are two 1-room-kitchen (1KK) apartments on this floor. On the second above-ground floor, there are two 2-room-kitchen (2KK) units, and on the third above-ground floor, there are again two 1KK units. The foundation structures are constructed using a system of plain concrete strip foundations. The perimeter walls of the above-ground floors are built with ceramic blocks and insulated with an ETICS (Exterior Thermal Insulation Composite System) contact system with a thickness of 200mm. The staircase and intermediate landings are prefabricated, and the ceiling structures are monolithic reinforced concrete. The building is roofed with a flat green roof.
History and acoustics of traditional timber joist floor structures
Kalousek, Lubor ; Fišarová, Zuzana
The article is focused on the issue of traditional timber joist floor structures, especially from the end of the 19th century to the first half of the 20th century. In common building practice, we very often encounter these structures in residential buildings that are, or were in the past, the subject of structural changes. Unfortunately, during these interventions, the basic ideas of the original technical solution are not always respected and some physical parameters of building are degraded, of which the requirements of building acoustics will be discussed in particular. However, the problem includes not only the actual composition of timber joist floor structure, but also the floor, which forms an integral whole in interaction with it. The article will describe the principles that were devoted to these types of structures in historical legislative and standard regulations and further in professional literature. The original historical solution will be presented on a practical example. In relation to building interventions in historic timber joist floor structures, current legislative and standard regulations will be described, as well as examples of modern solutions and their limitations.

Extension and Retrofit of the Healthcare Centre
Batke, Ľuboš ; Pilný, Ondřej (referee) ; Kalousek, Lubor (advisor)
The diploma thesis is a project focused on the conversion of an administrative building into a healthcare centre. In the past, the building served as an administrative building and the headquarters of the district department of the Slovak Police Force. The existing building will serve the residents of the town as a healthcare facility after construction modifications including an extension and modernization. Extension is necessary due to the insufficient capacity of the existing building. Extension will have a masonry vertical support system made of aerated concrete blocks. The floor structures will be made of prestressed hollow core slabs. The project significantly changes the original state regarding the functionality of the building, in which 17 outpatient clinics and a radiology workplace will be created. The layout together with the materials is described in detail in the project documentation and in the text part of the work. The diploma thesis also presents the method of necessary adjustments to the immediate surroundings. The original project documentation of the object was not available, all information was obtained by measuring and inspecting the building in February 2021.
Heat-moisture and Heat Storage Properties of Heavy Structures of Sloping Roofs
Pilný, Ondřej ; Ostrý, Milan (referee) ; Novotný,, Marek (referee) ; Kalousek, Lubor (advisor)
The heavy claddings of sloping roofs are increasingly being incorporated into the common constructions of family houses, apartment buildings and other civic amenities. Thanks to the increasing demands for energy savings in the form of ever-tightening values of heat transfer coefficients and other thermal engineering requirements, these designs are the answer to how to achieve the requirements more easily. Furthermore, they are able to influence the passive thermal stability of interiors and thus solve not only the issue of overheating of buildings, but also to achieve energy savings in the case of thermal stabilization of the interior throughout the year. However, if there is a lack of understanding of these different constructions for heat-moisture and heat storage behaviour, there is a risk of the opposite effect and a risk of deterioration of interior thermal stability. Therefore, it is necessary to better understand these structures in terms of behaviour and the impact that their use has on the building itself. Also, it is desirable to understand the effect of changes in their partial material properties and of the composition itself on the functioning of heat-moisture and heat storage properties of compositions that use these materials.
