Benchmarking of swarm optimization algorithms
Mittaš, Eduard ; Dosoudilová, Monika (referee) ; Kůdela, Jakub (advisor)
This thesis deals with benchmarking of swarm optimization algorithms. First part handles optimization problem and it’s meaning in testing of algorithm’s performances. Next chapter describes the very benchmarking itself, it’s tools and software platforms. Afterwards individual algorithms, which were selected for implementation are described. Following this part is a program realization of solution, selected algorithms, selected testing functions and the data, which is exported by the program. The last chapter deals with results of respective performance tests, in which algorithms solved given testing problems. Eventually these results are evaluated and from them an outcome of efficiency and performance of algorithms is formed.
Design of IoT Seed Planter
Rapčanová, Kateřina ; Kůdela, Jakub (referee) ; Šoustek, Petr (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor thesis was to search for the possibilities of IoT planters, to get acquainted with the Arduino platform and to design and create an IoT planter based on this platform. WeMos D1 R2, which contains the Wi-Fi microchip ESP8266, was chosen as the development board. A graphic interface was created on the Arduino IoT Cloud web environment for a clear list of measured quantities, where a control program was also created. In addition, the system can be monitored and partially controlled via the IoT Remote mobile application. To achieve the conditions of the IoT system, automation was chosen in the form of turning on artificial light in case of insufficient daylight supply. The pad and sensor model has been fitted to a specific planter, but can be easily adapted to other dimensions.
Scheduling for 3D printers
Lenhart, Vojtěch ; Dosoudilová, Monika (referee) ; Kůdela, Jakub (advisor)
This bachelor thesis focuses on the problem of production planning in the context of 3D printing. It analyzes the current possibilities of software for scheduling for 3D printers and focuses on other restrictive production conditions such as entering production on a printer, refilling material or time to remove the finished product from the printing area. The next part of the work deals with the development of a console application in C # for scheduling for 3D printers. It describes the methods that were used to design the software and their problems in terms of time and computational complexity. The results of all methods are properly compared and evaluated.
Distribution Problems and Their Modifications
Kučerová, Anna ; Kůdela, Jakub (referee) ; Šeda, Miloš (advisor)
This paper describes various modifications of distribution problems. It deals with their models, solutions and corresponding complexity. For selected models, a solution script in GAMS is proposed
Stochastic optimization in AIMMS
Time minimization for vehicles passing a given trajectory
Suja, Jerguš ; Kůdela, Jakub (referee) ; Porteš, Petr (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis deals with model building of automobile movement and it’s optimal speed in every single point of trajectory, whit aim on minimal lap time. It uses a real data, which was measured on Masaryk circuit in Brno. Contents of thesis are analysing effecting forces on vehicle’s dynamic and then building mathematic model. The main purpose is finding optimal speed characterization and compare with real data. Then, we modify model with adjustable wing and present advantage of this customization. Simulation was done by program MATLAB.
Surrogate-assisted Evolutionary Computation
Konečný, Štěpán ; Dobrovský, Ladislav (referee) ; Kůdela, Jakub (advisor)
This thesis deals with the optimization of flight profile design using surrogate models with differential evolution. The aim was to become familiar with the problem and possible solution procedures. The main objective was to create a surrogate model, implement it on the problem and then optimize it. In the introduction of the paper, the used surrogate models and evolutionary algorithms are described in detail. Subsequently, the control method, the optimization of expensive problems, the data acquisition issues for surrogate models and examples of practical applications of surrogate models are described. The paper concludes with a description of the optimization procedure and the results obtained by optimizing the flight profile design using the selected surrogate models, followed by an evaluation.
Models for network flow identification
Smejkalová, Veronika ; Kůdela, Jakub (referee) ; Pavlas, Martin (advisor)
The bachelor thesis is focused on development of a mathematical model of network flow in waste managment. The theoretical part of thesis deals with graph theory, network flow and optimization. The next chapter introduces the mathematical model. The model was compiled with the use of Information systems of waste management. The data are very often burdened by error. The task of the model is revelation of those errors to make the data useful. This thesis also includes suggestions for further development.
Cutting Stock Problem
Horniak, Lukáš ; Dosoudilová, Monika (referee) ; Kůdela, Jakub (advisor)
The Cutting stock problem is one of the major optimization problems that affects a wide variety of industrial fields where material is processed or manufactured. At the beginning the basics of linear and integer programming are briefly presented, as well as a description of the typological division of cutting and packaging problems according to five criteria, which specify the definition of the cutting stock problem. From a wide range of approaches and algorithms, a few are selected, which are described. Subsequently, two approaches are selected to solving one-dimensional and 1.5-dimensional.
IoT House Plant Irrigation System
Jiroušek, Lukáš ; Kůdela, Jakub (referee) ; Šoustek, Petr (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor's thesis is to process a search of houseplant irrigation systems, to design and implement a houseplant irrigation system with sensing of additional parameters affecting cultivation using the Arduino platform. The scanned data can also be viewed using a graphical user interface. The ThingSpeak interface was chosen for this environment. To be notified of the necessary maintenance (lack of water, battery), an e-mail notification was selected, which is evaluated and processed by ThingSpeak itself. The system has been designed to be easily adapted to different pot sizes.
