Optimal path planning for electric vehicles
Horák, Filip ; Šoustek, Petr (referee) ; Kůdela, Jakub (advisor)
This master’s thesis is about optimal route planning for electric vehicles. The first, theoretical part of this work introduces the issue and describes several heuristic methods that have been used to address optimization tasks. A practical part of the thesis is based around software implementation of the methods described earlier. Finally, several experiments and comparisons of obtained results are carried out.
Optimal control of intersection signaling
Tinka, Petr ; Šoustek, Petr (referee) ; Kůdela, Jakub (advisor)
This master´s thesis is about the control of a traffic light. In the first, theoretical part of this work, a description of this problem introduce. The following is an overview of the optimization methods used for this problem. The practical part deals with the modeling of the network of traffic lights in program SUMO and the implementation of selected optimization methods on this. Finally, a comparison of results is made.
Optimization problems in AIMMS
Kůdela, Jakub ; Popela, Pavel (referee) ; Mrázková, Eva (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis deals with the usage of system AIMMS for solving and creating optimization models. After the introduction to theoretical background of optimization problems there is an example of modeling a selected problem and its implementation to AIMMS. Each of the selected problems has its graphical user interface where an end user can simply modify the data of the model. All the source codes of programs described above are attached.
Stochastic optimization for electricity consumption control
Sekula, Jakub ; Popela, Pavel (referee) ; Kůdela, Jakub (advisor)
The aim of this work is to optimize charging of batteries used in an electric vehicle using electric charger control in order to decrease total costs. We will also count in scenario of using electric energy from vehicle’s batteries to run home demands because of different costs of energies during the day and night, when the batteries are usually charging. Given the uncertainty of events like the route, which will the vehicle cover, power demand of home or weather, we will use stochastic optimization, because we are able to tell with which probability would these events occur.
Advanced Techniques for Integer Optimization Problems
Liška, Ondřej ; Popela, Pavel (referee) ; Kůdela, Jakub (advisor)
This thesis deals with integer optimization on real data. Solved problem is production planning. Problem is descripted in first part of thesis. Next is obtained its optimization model. In second part are obtained solution methods for this problem. On the end are those methods compared in term of its solution quality.
Voice controlled robot in ROS framework
Černák, Ondrej ; Kůdela, Jakub (referee) ; Hůlka, Tomáš (advisor)
This thesis deals with the possibility of controlling a robot using voice and designing a robot in ROS Framework, that can execute simple motions. The thesis contains brief search about ROS Framework and the possibilities of voice-controlled robots. The next part deals with creating a model of a robot, implementing a speech recognition system and the use of said system to control a robot.
Modern methods for intersection signaling control
Bartoš, Pavel ; Lacko, Branislav (referee) ; Kůdela, Jakub (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the optimal control of traffic lights at intersections. In the introduction, concepts are introduced and control methods are presented. Subsequently, Eclipse's SUMO software is chosen to create the model. Following the model of a real intersection, both layout and logic and traffic flows are created. The traffic flows itself are partially randomized. The control is performed using three green queue lengths and the evaluation is done by comparing the average and maximum waiting times. Pareto optimal points are thus selected. The first algorithm to obtain the optimal setting is a grid search. The second algorithm has been implemented by NSGA-II. The settings are compared with each other as well as with respect to the settings and the time window.
Coverage Path Planning for Autonomous Robotic Lawn Mower
Moninec, Michal ; Šoustek, Petr (referee) ; Kůdela, Jakub (advisor)
This diploma thesis is covering the coverage path planning problem for autonomous robotic lawn mower in an area, which is fully defined before and is not changing. It contains a review of the currently used methods and an implementation of a software with a graphic user interface, which is capable of generating optimalized path.
Tourist trip design problem
Benda, Tomáš ; Šeda, Miloš (referee) ; Kůdela, Jakub (advisor)
This master’s thesis deals with the Tourist Trip Design Problem. Designing a tourist route is non-trivial optimization problem which results in personalised tourist tour. The algorithms which solve the Tourist Trip Design Problem are implemented to work with real world data. These algorithms were used during development of mobile application.
