Labour and value. Karl Marx in the light of Phenomenology of life

The doctoral thesis examines the concepts of labour and value which we attempt to contain by means of phenomenological interpretation of alienation, brought forward by french philosopher Michel Henry in his two-part book about Marx, written in the 1970s. The challenge of such a project results naturally both from the extent and from fragmentary nature of Marx's own work. Our intention to understand Marx's thinking in the unity of its diversity is at first sight reflected in fact that we try to follow its evolution step by step from its early stages to the late phase, in other words from the problems of labour in terms of critic of the reality of alienation to the economic nature of evaluation of value. Nevertheless, we do have reason to hope that beyond this formalistic approach we would have found hidden, so to say profound sens, which should appear by devoloping different forms of the concept of alienation. By the examination of Marx's work we proceed from the assumption that the concept of alienation claims the role of inner bond that holds his whole work together, thus the methods of young and late Marx, in spite of particular changes, complement and support each other because, at the and of the day, they grow up from the same basis: the critic of the alienation of life as such. Subjective body and life. An Essay on the way of thinking of Michel Henry

v anglickém jazyce: The fundamental theme of this diploma paper is the phenomenology of the body which is related to the investigation of the act of the appearing itself in the works of the French philosopher Michel Henry. The phenomenological approach of this thinker is going to be defined primarily by the confrontation with intentional phenomenology of Edmund Husserl, which in the matter of the appearance keeps itself within the bounds of the relation to the world. This classical version of the phenomenology will be compared with Henrys phenomenology of the life. The life which is understood in such a manner is invisible or unapparent because it is radically immanent and never appears in the exteriority of the world. Anyhow, the redefinition of the classical conception of the appearance should make possible access to the most important and the most interesting thing for us that is to say to subjective or transcendental body, which appears and experiences itself directly in its affective self- experience of the invisible interiority. Therefore, the subjective body is going to be described upon these grounds together with Henry as immanent being that is at the same time appearance. The concept of understanding in new hermeneutics

The purpose of this article is to show the most significant landmarks of history of new hermeneutics and to concentrate on the most important concept of new hermeneutics, namely on the concept of understanding. I tried to avoid, so that this text would be just some dead encyclopedia of authors of new hermeneutics. This work should not be some recapitulation of singular facts, but I have been trying to look into the history of the concept of understanding and to look at it as to one of the most important intellectual movement of continental philosophy. My attempt was to spot behind the aggregate of authors and topics something, which these details exceeds. My purpose was to show the concept of understanding in the context and relations, further to underline mutual overlapping and benefication between individual authors of new hermeneutics, and also not to look at singular problems of hermeneutics just in the context of the work and time period of singular author, but in the connections of new hermeneutics in whole. Behind the singular "facts" to catch a glimpse of something, what even convinced anti-dialectician calls spirit and to attempt to show this intellectual movement.
