Title: Methodology of telemark skiing Aim of the study: The aim of this thesis is to create educational, methodological and motivational film, which will include design of metodology of telemark skiing. Methods: In developing this thesis, we used a combination of methods of critical analysis of documents and the author's own empirical experience with telemark skiing with the method of comparison of selected knowledge, methods and participating and uninvolved observation and cinematographic film processing method. The work is a synthesis of theoretical research and dynamic field work. Results: According to this thesis was created teaching methodology and motivational DVD that in addition to the metodology also out lines the historical aspects and current concepts of telemark skiing. The text of the thesis in theoretical part complements the DVD detailed information from the history and information about telemark equipment. Methodology of teaching in the text corresponds to the contents of the DVD. Keywords: telemark, methodology, turn, step, stance, free heel
The energy performance at the growth rate in ski-mountaineering
Hepnar, Jan ; Vomáčko, Ladislav (advisor) ; Jindra, Matouš (referee)
Title The energy performance at the growth rate in ski-mountaineering Objectives Measure group skialpinists of different ages and performance of the ski-mountaineering simulator with a gradient 21ř and speed 1,4 km/h to 5,4 km/h with increasing 0,4 km/h in every minute. Determine their energy expenditure in different speeds as the speed increases and with constant slope. Methods Seven ski-mountaineerers of different levels were testing in laboratory of ski-mountaineering simulator. We calculate of maximum oxygen consumption and anaerobic threshold. Results The probands attained average energy expenditure 8,18 kJ per minute at the end of the first minutes and they attained average energy expenditure 29,32 kJ per minute at the end of the 10th minutes. The average energy expenditure of probands increased by 2,35 kJ per minute an average with a standard deviation 0,69 kJ per minute. Keywords ski-mountaineering, heart rate, oxygen consumption, ski-mountaineer trainer.
Involvement of the arms during ski-mountaineering according to different slope inclinations.
Zemanová, Markéta ; Jindra, Matouš (advisor) ; Gnad, Tomáš (referee)
Title of the thesis: Involvement of the arms during ski-mountaineering according to different slope inclinations. Objectives: The objective of the bachelor thesis is to find out the difference of strain makes to poles during ski-mountaineering depending on slope and constant speed. Methods: The study is designed like a pilot study. 8 persons were chosen for this measurement. It was an experiment. The research was realized in a laboratory. Results: Results of study confirm our scientific question. Pressure in the poles increased when the angle of slope is increasing during ski- mountaineering. Angle 10ř of slope showed at an average 42,3% more pressure makes to poles than angle 0ř. Angle 20ř of slope showed at an average 12,8% more pressure makes to poles than angle 10ř. Key words: Ski-mountaineering, strain-gauge transducer, pressure

Comparison of activation lower limb muscules in slide turn and turn in telemark position
Pospíšilová, Eva ; Jindra, Matouš (advisor) ; Chrástková, Martina (referee)
Title: Comparison of activation of lower limb muscles in a slide turn and in a telemark position turn. Objectives: The aim of this theses is to compare the muscle activation of selected muscles of the lower limbs in the slide turn and in the telemark technique. Methods: The muscle activation of selected muscles was measured during skiing using surface EMG. All probands crossed the track in two ways. The first one was the telemark technique and the second one the middle slide turn technique. The received signal from each ride was processed and evaluated. The results of both rides were compared to each other. Results: We found differences in the order of muscle activation between telemark and slide turn. We did not find unequivocal motion for each technique, which we could be compared to each other. Each probe had a different individual order of muscle activation in each technique. Keywords: downhill skiing, telemark, EMG, muscle activation
