Studying possibilities of graphene functionalization using AFM and STM techniques
Telychko, Mykola ; Jelínek, Pavel (advisor) ; Mysliveček, Josef (referee) ; Otyepka, Michal (referee)
In this thesis, by means of STM we study all the stages that occur during stepwise annealing of the SiC(0001) substrate, and lead to the formation of buffer layer and to the single layer graphene. It is demonstrated that the buffer layer growth is initiated by merging of graphene nanobubbles arising due to Si depletion and that this process competes with formation of a largely neglected phase, the 5√3x5√3, for which we develop an atomistic model. We studied the single-layer graphene using a simultaneous nc-AFM/STM. By this technique we are able to separate the topographic and electronic contributions from the overall landscape. The analysis reveal that graphene roughness evaluated from the atomic force maps is very low, in accord with theoretical simulations. Furthermore, we report a method for preparation of high-quality B- and N-doped graphene on SiC(0001). We combine experimental (nc-AFM, STM, XPS, NEXAFS) and theoretical (total energy DFT simulated STM) studies to analyze the structural, chemical and electronic properties of the single-atom substitutional dopants in graphene. We show that chemical identification of B and N substitutional dopants can be achieved only with the STM due to the quantum interference effect, arising from the specific electronic structure of N dopant sites. Investigating model CeO2 and TiO2 systems by means of Scanning Tunneling Microscopy and Atomic Force Microscopy
Stetsovych, Oleksandr ; Mysliveček, Josef (advisor) ; Jelínek, Pavel (referee) ; Klapetek, Petr (referee)
Atomic scale characterization of materials is important for the fundamental understanding of their properties. Here, model systems of industrially relevant cerium and titanium oxides are characterized with the combination of the Scanning Tunneling Microscopy (STM) and Non Contact Atomic Force Microscopy (NC AFM). Cerium oxide model systems are represented by fully oxidized and partially reduced ultra-thin ceria films supported on copper single crystal. Interaction of the model ceria systems with catalytically important adsorbates (water, methanol) is studied on atomic scale. Titanium oxide model systems are represented by pentacene and C60 molecules adsorbed on the surface of bulk titania in anatase polymorph. Organic layers on titania are studied with intramolecular resolution with the help of the newly developed Double pass scanning mode of NC AFM. The atomic contrast formation mechanisms in STM and NC AFM on ceria and anatase surface are presented. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
NC control system on Beckhoff platform
Jelínek, Pavel ; Bradáč, František (referee) ; Vetiška, Jan (advisor)
This thesis deals with a creation of a control system of 3-axis milling machine. The beginning of the thesis is dedicated to the general description of the problematic of the numerically controlled machines and the technologies used in this branch. The next chapter describes mechanical and electronical adjustments of the machine. Following chapters are dedicated to the creation of PLC program and HMI using the TwinCAT software. In conclusion, this thesis deals with commissioning of the machine, measuring its geometrical accuracy and testing.

Design of cutting unit
Jelínek, Pavel ; Košťál, David (referee) ; Brandejs, Jan (advisor)
This thesis deals with a structural design of a cutting roller including a proposal for its drive and exhaust system of the flexography machine Premia produced by Soma spol. s r.o. company. The first part discusses the technology of flexography and about the issue of cropping and extraction of material in general. Another part discusses the optimization of these systems, including the final engineering design. The main outcome of this thesis are drawings of assemblies listed in the annexes.
Phenomenon non-compliance in adult patients of cardiology ward.
Červenková, Kristýna ; Lešetický, Ondřej (advisor) ; Jelínek, Pavel (referee)
The aim of the bachelor work is to analyze the rate of occurrence of the non-compliance phenomenon in adult patients treated at the cardiology ward at the Hospital České Budějovice a.s. The information for processing the work I have obtained through an anonymous questionnaire to patients. In the theoretical part, there is explanation of the non compliance phenomenon, hypertension and the importance of communication. In the practical part, there is evaluation of the obtained information and verification of the set hypotheses. At the end, there is my own conclusion of the achieved results.
Use of LINQ technology
Fexa, Marek ; Buchalcevová, Alena (advisor) ; Jelínek, Pavel (referee)
This work is focused at new Microsoft technology for querying data LINQ (Language intergrated query). It is built as complex technology, it allows working with various data sources. For example it contains collections of objects, created for temporary storing data in memory, but also data in robust database systems. In first part of this work I describe how data was queried before LINQ was on scene and what reasons made LINQ originate. Then I analyze new features in C# that were prerequisites for creating language integrated query as part of base libraries. Next part focuses at query operators, their interfaces and provides examples of use. Then I describe LINQ technology in complex, I create and describe in detail process of execution of LINQ query. Next chapter describes querying ADO.NET Datasets. Practical examples are created for both typed and untyped Datasets. In following chapter I analyze LINQ to SQL functionality. There is described method of implementation, mainly translation LINQ query to SQL language, integrated object rational mapping tool, change tracking in mapped objects including concurrency problems. At the end of the chapter I sketch the future in data access in ADO.NET entities. In last but one chapter is created complex application of use LINQ technology. Application is built as thin client that uses LINQ as for reading and manipulating data from relational database. In the application is LINQ also used common work with component that presents data. At the end part of this work is LINQ technology summarized. Contribution and pitfalls of LINQ technology are also described.
Student's registration for the topics of bachelor and diploma theses and state exams
Quast, Karel ; Buchalcevová, Alena (advisor) ; Jelínek, Pavel (referee)
This diploma thesis is focused on a topic selection for bachelor and diploma theses, student's registration for the topics, a registration for state exams and bachelor and diploma theses defense. This thesis includes an analysis of this area and a proposal of an electronic solution. The main goal of this thesis is to build a solution which eliminates a physical appearance of students at school during the registration for the topic of bachelor and diploma theses as well as a registration for state exams and bachelor and diploma theses defense. In connection with this is also valuable to spare the work of the department clerk and secretary connected with the registration agenda. The analysis was realized mostly by UML methodology, the solution includes detailed ERD model and the proposed application screen layouts. The final result of this work is a complete solution proposal that is ready to be used for the application implementation.
