Analysis of Accuracy of Streams and Watershed Divides Contained in the Geographic Databases of the Czech Republic Abstract The aim of this work is to evaluate positional accuracy of stream lines and watersheds in geographical databases of the Czech Republic. Data are compared in several geomorphologically different areas and the influence of terrain topography on positional accuracy of lines is also studied. The teoretical part of this work describes methods of stream lines and watesheds delimitation and methods designed for comparision of positional accuracy of lines. Furthermore, methodology of work involving stream lines and watershed delimitation in DTM (digital terrain model) by ArcHydro Tools and comparision of these lines with the lines in available databases is described. The data used for construction of DTM were obtained by Airborne Laser Scanning. Key words: watershed, stream, position accuracy, DTM

Jakub Jaroš Praha 2013 Cartographic processing of the data contained in the planning analytical materials Abstract The aim of this thesis is to point out the lack of cartographic expertise in text sections of planning analytical materials. Maps, which are placed into these materials, are assessed according to a technical and esthetical qualification. First part of this thesis contains interpretations of different methods of cartographic assessment. In this part we choose most acceptable method for this theme. In the next part of this thesis we use verbal assessment to assess cartographic works in planning analytical materials. Last part presents new maps, where has been applied the correct cartographic techniques and which can replace the old ones in those documents. These maps can also be used as patterns for cartographic application in planning analytical materials. The discussion deals with different views of municipalities to using...
Cycling map of Croatian Island Rab
Vodňanská, Klára ; Jaroš, Jakub (advisor) ; Hettler, Jakub (referee)
Biking and hiking map of Croatian island Rab Abstract The objective of this work is to create biking and hiking map of Croatian island Rab in a scale 1 : 50 000. The primary requirement is, that map should be created from a geodatabase in a reference scale 1 : 10 000. In the theoretical part there are evaluated existing biking and hiking map in a scale 1 : 50 000 and then cartographic products which include area of island Rab. This evaluation has analysed lacks, which should be eliminated during the creation of new map. Then, in a work there is a description of chosen area, the selection of a software and based data. The practical part is focused on a procedure of creating map, from the choice of a map projection and content, through the preparation of data, creating of map key and legend, to the preparation a map for a print. The attachment of this work is new map of island Rab with a legend in three language. Keywords: biking and hiking map, map creation, map evaluation, map key, legend, cartographical representations, biking track, hiking trail
The Evaluation of Financial Situation of the Selected Company
Jaroš, Jakub ; Doubravský, Karel (referee) ; Novotná, Veronika (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis focuses on analysis of economic indexes of selected company. The source of data for analysis is financial statements from company. The work is divided into a theoretical and a practical part. In theoretical part describes the individual methods and processes of financial analysis and part dealing with time series and regression analysis. The practical part analyzes the current situation of company by means of economic indicators.
Detection of Terrain Skeleton Lines based on Laser Scanning Data
Jaroš, Jakub ; Lysák, Jakub (advisor) ; Bayer, Tomáš (referee)
The objective of the thesis is to design a new detection method of terrain skeleton lines from airborne laser scanning data. The theoretical part provides a brief introduction to airborne laser scanning issue. There are presented major principles of the technology and procedures applied to create digital terrain model from laser data. There is also described an application of airborne laser scanning in the area of the Czech Republic in detail and follows an exact specification of key terms of the thesis. From the geomorphology, topography and geoinformatics point of view there are defined especially terms like terrain skeleton lines, breakline, valley and ridge. Literary research consists of the summary of already published method of breakline detection. There are algorithms focused on data processing in form of original point cloud as well as algorithms focused on processing data in the raster form. Primary goal of the theoretical part is to express major principles of already published method of detection. The practical part firstly introduces data that are used further in the thesis. The objective of the thesis is a description of a new method of detection of terrain skeleton lines. The method processes laser data converted into raster form and it is based on the analysis of transverse elevation profile...

Tourist maps for young people, map analysis and principles for making maps Abstract The first aim of this thesis is to analyse the available maps for young people. The second aim is to design the map key and then use it to create three touristic maps for young travellers. The attachments of this thesis are maquettes of Prague, České Budějovice and Český Krumlov maps. The first part of the literature search concerns the current state of tourism in the Czech Republic and in the mentioned cities. Next it deals with the problems of young travellers and touristic maps for young people. The second part of the literature search is focused on the research methods for map assessment. The methodological part describes the procedure and results of the assessment of the chosen maps. The penultimate chapter is dedicated to the creation of map key and the principles for making maps. The discussion concerns the problematic places during making maps and choosing the appropriate content of the maps. Keywords: tourist maps, young people, map assessment, map key, map creation
Roads and paths in geographical databases of Czech Republic - analysis of their existence and geometric accuracy, the new proposal of classification
Zub, Daniel ; Šára, Pavel (advisor) ; Jaroš, Jakub (referee)
Roads and paths in geographical databases of Czech republic - analysis of their existence and geometric accuracy, the new proposal of classification Abstract The fundamental objective of this bachelor thesis was to assess the network of roads and paths in geographic databases ZABAGED, DMÚ 25, ÚHÚL, SHOCart and maps for orienteering. The analysis of roads and paths was based on the geometric accuracy and the existence in databases due to the targeted forest road network in a limited forested land. The measurement was carried out the tourist receiver GPS for fieldwork. This bachelor thesis is divided into three parts. Firstly the classification of road network databases are compared and the basics of their geometric precision are given. The second part is dedicated to the principle of measuring GPS and errors that might occur. The calculate the accuracy of the receiver of unfavorable conditions when the measurement is influenced by many aspects is included too. The third part deals with the actual comparison of databases focused road network. The main output is a detailed map of the area at a scale of 1: 10 000 measured with a network of roads and paths. Keywords: forest road, path, geographic databases of Czech republic, classification of forest road network, Global Positioning System
Deviatility of roads in network analysis with the use of GIS
Bartoš, Jan ; Hudeček, Tomáš (advisor) ; Jaroš, Jakub (referee)
The key of presented diploma thesis is to find a way to take shape of roads into account when performing network analysis. Methods of mathematical representation of shape of lines are discussed; the curvature is chose for later use. Then the relation between road's curvature and speed is discussed - the model for setting the speed is suggested. Important part of the thesis is focused on implementation in GIS. Designed model is implemented by Python in the ArcGIS for Desktop. Due to testing on specific examples, it was confirmed, that the taking the shape characteristics into account provides high précising of network analysis.
