Józsová, Kristýna ; Niederlová, Markéta (advisor) ; Motýl, Jiří (referee)
This thesis deals with multiple sclerosis disease and its connection with cognitive functions. The theoretical part first presents findings related to the mentioned disease, etiopathogenesis, clinical picture, diagnosis and treatment options. Subsequently it focuses on cognitive functions and their impairment in connection with multiple sclerosis, neurological correlates and possibilities of therapeutic action are also presented. Last but not least, space is also devoted to neuropsychological methods used for the purpose of evaluating cognition specifically in patients with multiple sclerosis. The empirical part is focused on cognitive functions in patients diagnosed with the so-called clinically isolated syndrome. Patients are tested using neuropsychological tests in cognitive domains that are often mentioned in connection with multiple sclerosis. These domains include memory, attention, speed of information processing, visuospatial functions, speech, and executive functions. Furthermore, it examines the deterioration of cognitive functions in these individuals in the period from the first cognitive testing after the diagnosis of clinically isolated syndrome, until the second testing, which takes place approximately one and a half years after the first one. Józsová, Kristýna ; Boukalová, Hedvika (advisor) ; Šíchová, Andrea (referee)
This bachelor thesis is about one of the most important phenomen in forensic psychology, which is the credibility of witness statement. This thesis puts emphasis on methods currently used for verifying statement crediblity. Theoretical part first deals with a definition of credibility and its division on common and specific credibility. Then it deals with nonverbal and verbal methods, which it distinguishes into four used methods, specifically SVA, SCAN, RM and MASAM. Empirical part aims on three methods, specifically SVA (only CBCA part is used), SCAN and relatively new method MASAM. Main goal of the research is to find out the probability, that the assessors correctly rate credibility of the witness testimony while using these methods and compare the results. Next aim of study is to compare results between assessors using these methods to those who use only their subjective impression. The component of the research is qualitative collection of criteria used by assessors in their evaluations. Keywords Credibility, verbal methods, nonverbal methods, judgement criteria
