Application of correlation analysis confirmed the relationship of economic performance and some used indicators. Life tables were utilized as the next analytical tool which allows to express the expected time spent in the governing bodies and the expected time of gaining experience in banking before joining the board of directors. Finally the survival analysis was introduced to evaluate the population of members of the boards in banks according to the time period spent in the board and by time period of gathering previous experience...

The author analyses the intensity of mortality from all causes alcohol-related mortality, from cause of death of alcoholic liver disease and from external causes of death related to alcohol. She concludes that the level of mortality from all causes alcohol-related mortality and external causes of death related to alcohol improves whereas the level of mortality from cause of death of alcohol liver disease worsens. From the results of the analysis it follows that the areas with the highest intensity of mortality related to alcohol are eastern Moravia and north-western Bohemia. Mortality patterns and trends in post-communist countries compared with low mortality populations Zhanyl Mukhtarova Abstract This research primarily addresses mortality patterns and trends in the post-communist countries of Central Asia, Central Europe and the Baltic region together with low mortality populations such as those of France, Spain and the United States of America. In this study, the main age-specific mortality intensities and the excess male mortality among the selected countries were analyzed. Moreover, the historical overview of mortality development in the selected countries and population longevity was discussed. Concurrently, the influence of socioeconomic conditions and healthy lifestyles and their implications and impact on declining mortality rates were revealed. The results of those scenarios are being compared with other analysis results focusing on analyzing the influence of ageing process and health condition fluctuations on expenditure levels in the Czech Republic as well as in other EU countries.
