Film Festival Promotion: The Case Study of the International Film Festival Karlovy Vary

The bachelor thesis "Film Festival Promotion: The Case Study of the International Film Festival Karlovy Vary" examines visual presentation and promotion of film festivals. The theoretical part focuses on the definitions of the terms communication, marketing communication tools, advertising promotion, etc. and their historical development. Also mentioned are marketing tools and principles and resources of successful advertising. Findings from the theoretical part are applied in the practical part on the International Film Festival Karlovy Vary.
Presentation of a cultural event and its visual identity

The bachelor thesis deals with the external presentation of a cultural event, communication with a spectator and with the overall strategy of marketing communication. The theoretical part is mainly engaged in marketing communication and communication mix, as well as visual communication, especially corporate design, image and visual identity in general. The practical part is focused on a specific example of the music festival Mighty Sounds, its development and growing popularity associated with successful self-presentation. The information and conclusions in the practical part are supported by the questionnaire research dealing with the growing awareness of existence of this festival and communication with a target group within a year.
Communication Model of Local Nonprofit Project

Bachelor's thesis "Communication Model of Local Nonprofit Project Festival One World Benešov 2011" is focused on theory of communication model that involves analysis, targets, target groups, strategy, tactics and evaluation and consequent application of theoretical model on local nonprofit festival type project. In the theoretical part, the formation of communication model is depicted. The part concerned with corporate social responsibility and fundraising is detached and scrutinized more closely. One of the chapters is also devoted to sponsoring. Furthermore, the thesis describes the human rights documentary film festival One World, its specifics and the manner of functioning in the relationship towards the regional festivals, which take place within the frame of One World. Regional festival One World Benešov 2011 is inspected in more detail. The practical part concerns itself with employing the theoretical model on the regional festival One World Benešov 2011. The issues discussed involve assessment of practical application of communication model and overview of advices and recommendations for festival year 2012.
Economic aspects of pop culture

The work is focused on finding the difference between high and low culture as a primary distribution in comparison with cultural theorists, critics and social scientists dealing with this issue. The aim is to find out what makes each culture to its choice of recipients, which marketing ways and other factors affecting the recipients and instruments through which this happens. Reported conclusions should analyze the economic substance of pop culture, charting its future development because of society's economic decisions.
Arts and social exclusion

This Bachelor Degree Thesis deals with the social benefits of participatory arts projects. Specifically, it focuses on projects working with socially excluded children and young people. The first part presents description of social exclusion and the role of art in education and training for young people. The second part deals with the benefits and impacts of such projects, their management and evaluation.
Meetfactory o.p.s.

This bachelor's thesis deals with an emerging project Meetfactory. It is a multi-functional culture centre which besides other cultural services also offers a residential atelier programme for foreign artists. Conceiver of the whole project is a controversial Czech artist David Černý. In a theoretical part of the paper I deal with problems of non-profit organizations in culture and the topic of brownfields. In the practical part I described the project from its complicated history, field of activity to a financial aspect following the findings from the theoretical part. This thesis serves as a comprehensive view on this unique project.
Creative Cities

The aim of this work is to introduce the concept of Creative Cities, to describe briefly its essential parts and to assess the possibility of its applicability in the Czech Republic. This work deals in particular with cities and their inhabitants, entrepreneurial and non-entrepreneurial entities and the relations between them. However, it is not the ambition of this work to give instructions how to create a prosperous city. The purpose of the concept is not to become a creative city of the world but to become a creative city for the world or to become creative for one's own city. The concept of a creative city is a recommendation, rather than a manual, how to make the most of the potential of any cityin order to make it a better place for life.
Cooperation of non-profit cultural institutions

In my paper I discuss the issue of cooperation between two cultural institutions in the peripheral part of Prague, namely the Chodovská Tvrz Cultural House and Cultural Center Zahrada. The first section is theoretical, and it is devoted to the non-profit sector from the national economy perspective. Subsequently, different types of non-profit organizations are defined. The theoretical section is concluded with a general description of the City of Prague 11 and its culture. The practical part of this paper is initially focused on the characterization of the aforementioned organizations. Next I discuss the activities and cooperation between these two cultural institutions which were merged to a non-profit organization in 2007.
Cultural Policy in Hradec Králové and its outputs

This Bachelor paper, entitled " Cultural Policy in Hradec Králové and its outputs" is a description of cultural policy in Hradec Králové, definition of their aims and financing. The tendency is to point out the changes which the cultural policy of the city came through in the past and also to evaluate a level of communication between the municipal council and citizens. At the beginning of the twentieth century Hradec Králové was called " The Salon of the Republic", especially because of its architecture. Except the distinguished architecture Hradec Králové has also the rich cultural history and it will be very exciting to deal with that to what measure is the influence of these aspects on nowadays Hradec Králové and how the city takes care of this cultural heritage.Culture is an important part of the life in Hradec Králové and a lot of cultural actions like festivals, concerts or exhibitions that are described in the text are organized here. Part of the paper is also a case study of the theatre festival called "Theatre of European Regions".

The bachelor thesis deals with fundraising of non-profit cultural project. The theoretical part defines a notion nonprofit sector and fundraising and describes principles and methods of fundraising as well as potential financial sources. The practical part is devoted to a promotion and a fundraising of Charitable auction, a project of Máme otevřeno?, o. s. At the end there is a comparison of "favored" prices paid by a non-profit organization while promoting a charitable auction and the real prices paid by a business sector.
