The load bearing steel building structure of the car showroom

This work contains a proposal supporting steel structure of the single- industrial buildings intended for parking motor show / exhibition cars in Brno. Building plan dimensions are 20 x 36 m. The main structure is defined by a planar cross-linked. Transverse bond is formed trusses, connected by purlins. Trusses are on both sides of the structure hinged to the fixed columns. The main beam is made up of trusses with an installation height of 1,5 m at midspan. Distance crosslinks is 6 m. Spatial rigidity is ensured by a system of longitudinal transverse stiffeners. Steel truss rods are made of rolled profiles are pillars of HEB profiles and purlins are designed from rolled profiles I. The design is carried out according to standards EN. Used material bearing elements is steel S 235 (regular steel).

Load carrying steel structure of the sport stadium roofing

This diploma thesis deals with design load bearing steel structure of the sport stadium roofing with 67,2 m length and 28,8 m width. Roofing structure is designed and examined in two versions. Variant A is designed like tubular truss girder with axis distance 4,8 m. Variant B is designed like welded solid-web girder with same axis distance. These versions are compared by weight, manufacturing complexity and appearance, preferable version is processed in detail. Drawings contain layout of both versions and manufacturing drawings of truss.

Mass culture in media: reality show

My thesis contains the description and analysis of mass culture in media with focus on phenomenon ofrecent years - reality show. In first part I define the idea ofmass culture in general. I was interested, how the mass culture is perceived by some chosen authors. Its negatives and positives. Its impact on society. In the second part I payed attention to the definition of mas s communication, which helps to spread mass culture. I have described the instruments of mas s comunication - press, tv, movies. One ofthe main contributions ofthe thesis is describtion ofthe reality show "Vyvolení". I used it as an example ofmass culture in media. I tried to define it from various points ofview. For example the impact on viewer or the selection of contenders. The goal of my thesis was to explain the function and the impact of mas s culture in media.

Development of the Czech language in context of socio-cultural changes with emphasis on current state

This dissertation focuses on the language as a part of the cul ture. In the theoretical part it describes speech and language as such, deals with one of the most fundamental ethno-linguistic theories - the Sapir-Whorf theory of linguistic relativism, which describes the relation of language and thought. It follows the development of the Czech language in the broader context of socio-cultural changes stressing the periods of our history that have influenced it profoundly. It mentions the work of the prague Linguistic Circle and the Institute of Czech Language. However, it mainly deals with the state of the Czech language in the recent years when it is going through pronounced changes mainly in the area of lexicology and when the whole language structure is changing. The thesis compares the language of different professions, so cal led slangs (of journalists, employees of promotion agencies, computer experts), and describes coining of new words. It addresses the contemporary phenomenon of electronic media that have profound influence upon the language. It further describes the two different points of view concerning the language development - the conservative and the liberal. Cereal in the medieval culture of the Czech lands

Agriculture makes its first appearance in human history about 12 000 - 5 000 years ago. Around that time, people took to a sedentary way of life so they could primarily till the land and grow the grains which they had come to know in their wild varieties. This new way of life gradually changed the social and cultural order. A return to primeval living was not impossible, though. Before the Slavs arrived on the territory of what is today Moravia and Bohemia, various Indo-European tribes had already pursued agriculture in our part of the world, chief among them the Celts and the Germans. The Slavs, which came from the eastern part of Europe, probably in the second half of the 6th century, built upon the farming of these erstwhile peoples. After the rise and fall of proto-states, for which evidence has survived only in the case of Great Moravia, an early Bohemian state took hold. In the local culture, grain played an indispensable role. Farming was the main livelihood of the entire populace. Crops of choice at the time were millet, einkorn, and emmer wheat, which gradually gave way to common wheat and barley. The land was tilled with wooden hoes which merely cut furrows in the soil. Genesis of film festival

The intention of this bachelor degree essay is to characterize film festival as a culturologic subject which is worthy of the academic attention. The essay is consisted of the theoretical and the practical part. Film festival is seen from a culturological pespective as institucion which provide a lot of different functions. The basic terms which goes through the whole essay are explained in the opening chapter. There is also implied use of this interdisciplinar cultural phenomenon. The history of FF is the main topic of the second chapter. The chapter shows changing of the FF function through the time from the presentation of the countries placed in euro-american region to its inovative function. The third chapter presents already published film festival theories and shows how to process the theme of the FF with collaboration of academic fields as the social and cultural anthropology, psychology and sociology. The core of this bachelor degree essay is the fourth chapter which contains research of the film festival event and its changes and growth in time. The productions functions of public radio broadcasting

The aim of this thesis was to evaluate the functioning of public service media with an emphasis on the Czech Radio. The work deals with the definition of so-called media field in the Czech Republic, the distribution of media on public and private sector, it considers the position of the Czech Radio and its obligations given by law. In detail, it deals with productive and reproductive functions of the Czech Radio, literary works given as an example; it outlines the history of its techno-cultural development, describes the evolution of recording from vinyl records to the development of the Internet and digital broadcasting. In conclusion, it examines the role of the radio as a cultural and educational institution, and its future.

The role of media in formation of socio-cultural regulatives. Image of values, norms and cultural patterns in lifestyle magazines for women a men.

This thesis concerns itself with the effects of media on socio-cultural regulatives. The work is divided into two parts - theoretical and practical. The first one describes the theoretical foundations related to mass media - their importance and power, their potential effects and how they can be analyzed. The work also deals specifically with printed media. The practical part is focused on the research. Two lifestyle magazines were selected, both of which are presenting values of the two main segments of the population (Elle for women and Maxim for men). The empirical part of the thesis thoroughly scrutinizes these two periodicals in terms of their content. This analysis led to the formation of hypotheses pertaining to customer behaviour and value orientation, most of which were verified thanks to the in-depth interviews that were conducted. Public Broadcasting Television in the Czech Republic

1 The thesis Public Broadcasting in the Czech Republic focuses on Czech Television and its broadcasting which should fulfill special tasks of public service. It is divided into two main parts - theoretical and analytical. The theoretical one starts with a description of evolution of Czechoslovak television and continues with establishment of dual system of broadcasting and formation of Czech television. Then the thesis deals with public service broadcasting, its significance, potential criticism and above all its definition in the laws. The definition of public service tasks is used for the analysis in the analytical part of the thesis. In its beginning author laid down some hypotheses. For the purpose of verification of their compliance the thesis continues with the analysis of broadcasting schedule which shows differences as well as similarities between the public and the commercial broadcasting media. Last part of the bachelor thesis is dedicated to the analysis of selected programs in terms of the public service tasks defined by appropriate laws and documents. On these selected programs author tries to show the specifics and meaning of the public service broadcasting for the society.
