Prosthetic Solutions to Transmetatarsal Traumatic Amputation

Title: Prosthetic solution of traumatic transmetatarsal foot amputation Objectives: The main goal of my work is to design a prosthetic solution for a patient after a traumatic transmetatarsal amputation of the leg with the intention of restoring the function of the leg with respect to its natural appearance, maximally reducing the risk of injury to the patient so that he can use normal sports shoes. A partial goal is to increase the mechanical resistance of the prosthesis during increased physical activity and to create a production procedure that can be used by other active patients. Methods: The bachelor thesis consists of a theoretical part and a practical part. In the theoretical part I primarily draw on professional publications and articles related to the given issue. The practical part consists of the actual case study of the patient with a focus on the production of a prosthesis according to his disability, which is based on the data obtained from the analysis of posture and gait. Results: The case report was processed within two months in the non-state medical facility Proteor CZ s.r.o. Ostrava, based on the specific needs of the patient.
