Elastic Analysis of Crack Stability under Shear Loading Modes
Žák, Stanislav ; Profant, Tomáš (referee) ; Horníková, Jana (advisor)
The main goal of this thesis is to create a numerical simulation of a real experiment for specifying the ultimate state of spread of fatigue crack in pure shear stress modes and to deal with results of simulations for different specimen geometries. The simulations emulate real conditions of the experiment within the frame of linear elastic fracture mechanics. The first part of this work discusses a number of approaches to describe the stability and behaviour of cracks. The second part of this thesis deals with several possibilities of calculating crack characteristics employing ANSYS software. The third and most comprehensive part of the thesis describes the experiment which served as the template for the calculations. In addition, the setup of the simulations and the post-processing of the results for different crack parameters are discussed.
Strength design of the truss construction
Rašovská, Hana ; Horníková, Jana (referee) ; Vrbka, Jan (advisor)
Bachelor thesis deals with strength, stress and strain analysis of the plain truss construction. The aim of the thesis is calculation the size of forces for two storage of the system with resultant suggestion of the cross- section geometry. The different position of the load is also considered. Further the influence of gravitational field of the Earth is reviewed as well as displacements in characteristic places, in construction is defined.
Analysis of state of stress in press and shrink fits
Dudek, Milan ; Řehák, Kamil (referee) ; Horníková, Jana (advisor)
This thesis is focused on calculation of overlap in press fit depending on vield strength. There are used methods of analytic elasticity. The counted values are implemented into the technologic process as updated technologic specification. The practical values of overlap depend on exactness of available technology. The evaluation is done at the end of thesis (economic evaluation as well)
Strain, stress and strength analysis of the truss construction.
Hladký, Maroš ; Horníková, Jana (referee) ; Vrbka, Jan (advisor)
The thesis is focused on strain, strength, and strain analysis of planar truss construction. The purpose of this work is to determine the load on each rod, and to assess the safety against limit states. After determining the primary characteristics, the structure will be modified and load and safety re-calculated. Depending on the outcome, the design will be changed again. Next, will be destined gravity affect on the design and impact of production inaccuracy. Deformation of structure will be calculated.
Boundary element method in enfgineering practise
Man, Vojtěch ; Horníková, Jana (referee) ; Profant, Tomáš (advisor)
In this work the introduction to numerical modelling of real system is described. For Boundary Element Method (BEM) show it basic advantages and disadvantages and solves problem boundary integral equations for 1-D case. Solutions elastic line are compared with solutions from elasticity and stability.
Stress and strength analysis of the bike frame and compliance assessment at selected construction places.
Prášil, Jiří ; Horníková, Jana (referee) ; Vrbka, Jan (advisor)
Purpose of this work was the realization of stress and strenght analysis of the bike frame with the help of the basic elasticity approach. At first I had to transfer this task from three-dimensional to two-dimensional and also to simplify to fulfill the beam conditions. I also focused on static safety of the construction. This static safety was solved for two loading modes. First one was define as the load, which cyclist can induce, when he is going on the direct road. Second one was defined as the load, which he can induce, when he is going up to the hill. I used for these calculations mathematical software such as Mathcad 14 or Maple 12, but also modeling software especially Autocad for establishing correct dimensions. At the end I checked the stress and strain analysis obtained by the basic elasticity approach with the solution performed making use of the ANSYS software code.
Criteria of multiaxial fatigue life
Bauer, David ; Slámečka, Karel (referee) ; Horníková, Jana (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis focuses on determination of lifetime of material under multiaxial cycle loading. This knowledge is important for a good design of the most machine parts. The thesis includes a short description of the proces of material fatigue, which is consequence of cyclic loading. It contains fatigue criteria for the case of uniaxial and multiaxial loading too. From a large number of multiaxial criteria are chosen energy-based and stress-based models.
Overview of application of singularity functions in education of the beam deformation characteriscs.
Sejbal, Štěpán ; Profant, Tomáš (referee) ; Horníková, Jana (advisor)
The purpose of this work is gathering and comparing of literary foundations to implementing of singular functions and their applications at foreign universities and in world literature.
Creation of a program code for evaluation and display of inner resultants in beams
Kupka, Jiří ; Horníková, Jana (referee) ; Burša, Jiří (advisor)
The work is aimed at solution of problem with evaluating the values and courses of resulting inner effects. The goal is to algorithmize the calculation and its graphic interpretation. The main mphasis was on the correctness of numerical results and their correct depiction. Integral approach of olution and its logorithmization was chosen as suitable calculating model for given task. The algorithmus of the program itself was written in programming language C++. Thereinafter the basis of the sphere of tress and strain analysis in beams, the knowledge of which is neccessary for the given solution of the roblem or it is presumed.
Application of singularity functions for the beam deflection calculation.
Fiala, Petr ; Houfek, Martin (referee) ; Horníková, Jana (advisor)
The aim of this work is to compare two methods of calculation deflection curve of the beam, by means of the solution of differential equations and by singularity functions. The beam is loaded by various linear elastic loadings. Singularity functions enable to determine uniform algorithm independently on the combination applied loadings. This method is useful for computer processing.
