Lifestyle diseases, their causes and prevention.

My bachelor thesis dealt with the issues of lifestyle diseases. The objective of this work was to use a questionnaire survey to find out whether and how the people are informed about these diseases. If they know causes related to them and how they try to prevent from them. I also was wondering whether the people on the basis of their age and their maximal attained educational are differently informed about these diseases. Aims of this work were completed fulfilled and the results showed that the respondents who were used in my questionnaire are sufficiently informed about these diseases and their prevention which they predominantly respect. As emerged from the work it would be appropriate to ensure that the society continues to be well - informed about these diseases. I personally would wish that people of all ages to regularly and consciously pay primarily attention to precautions of a healthy lifestyle which is the basis of prevention of lifestyle diseases.
Theory and Practise of Temporary Agency Work

Temporary agency work - it's legislation as well as its practise is the main topic of this thesis. It aims not only legal, but also economical and some other aspects. The issue is becoming more and more important in relation with unexpected changes at employment market. Number of temporary agency workers is expected to rise in near future. This is resulting from expectations for high-standard legislation providing efficient protection especially for temporary agency workers. The first aim is to summarize contemporary legislation in the Czech Republic, European Union and International Labour Organization. Next purpose is to point out its main problems and interpretation difficulties. Selected chapters illustrate the approach of temporary work agencies to some disputable provisions of a statute. The thesis is composed of fourteen chapters, each of them dealing with different aspects of temporary agency work. Chapter One is introductory and defines concept of temporary agency work, focuses on situation on employment market and describes the development of legislation. Chapter Two provides outline of sources of legislation in the area of temporary agency work in the Czech Republic, European Union and International Labour Organization. Ethics in Public Administration

The thesis is divded into two parts which focus on ethics in public administration. The first part of the thesis defines the basic terms which are codes of ethics in public administration which are necessary for understanding various issues.The second part contains the results of a survey which was conducted among employees of the municipality. The results are presented in graphs complete with descriptions.The conclusion is based on the survey results which were evaluated to produce some draft recommendations on how to improve the ethical working environment.
Territorial differentiation and the regional policy adjustment after the Eastern Enlargement

The thesis deals with the differentiation between countries and regions in the EU and a parallel adjustment of the regional and cohesion policy. The first part provides the presentation of economic and social differentiation in EU Member States and discusses regional development issues from a theoretical point of view. The second part shows various regional differences between regions in the given time periods after the enlargements of integration. The final chapter focuses on the current financial framework 2007-2013 and the current state of the EU Cohesion Policy. The aim is to answer the question whether EU regional policy through its specific strategy managed to solve and reduce the territorial differentiation between the Member States and their regions. The thesis also focuses on the Cohesion policy approach to the spatial disparities and change in the setting of regional and cohesion policy.
The idea of Czechoslovak statehood and its territorial form in the years 1918 - 1938

The bachelor's thesis deals with the idea of Czechoslovak statehood, presents proposals for the inclusion of the Czechoslovak state in Central Europe by leading Czechoslovak statesmen. It also focuses on the process of the state creation, the immediate events that led to it and the main documents of the Czechoslovak statehood, which contributed to the formation of the Republic. It is also devoted to the postwar peace treaties upholding the territorial form Czechoslovakia. The second chapter characterizes the newly acquired territory of the geopolitical, demographic and economic terms. Furthermore the thesis analyses the various conflicts with the included minorities within the state and describes the battle with neighboring states to maintain the Czechoslovak state integrity. The goal of this paper work is to answer the question why they initially failed to maintain a liberal democracy. What caused the failure to fulfill the ideas of the Czechoslovak state.
