Case report of a patient after fracture of the distal radius
Richtrová, Michaela ; Holubářová, Jiřina (advisor) ; Hulvová, Petra (referee)
Title: Case report of a patient after fracture of the distal radius Author: Michaela Richtrová Aim: A comprehensive view on the issue of distal radius fractures, a summary of theoretical and practical knowledge, the design therapy and monitoring therapeutic outcomes - rehabilitation plan for a patient with fractures of the distal radius. Methods: This work was a search of case studies in the professional practice held from January 24, 2011 to February 18, 2011 at Malvazinky Rehabilitation Clinic in Prague. The work is divided into two parts, general and special. General section summarizes the theoretical knowledge of anatomy, kinesiology forearm, hand and wrist, upper extremity trauma - a description of fractures and their healing, diagnosis and treatment. Based on this general knowledge is also dedicated to the classification of fractures of the distal radius, their clinical symptoms, conservative and surgical approaches and a description of rehabilitation treatment options. A special section is devoted to case report of a patient after distal radius fracture, the rehabilitation, the results and effects of therapy. Key words: wrist fractures, distal radius, physiotherapy
Case Study of Physiotherapy Treatment of a Patient after Fracture of external ankle
Berger, Daniel ; Holubářová, Jiřina (advisor) ; Hoskovec, Jakub (referee)
Title: Case Study of Physiotherapy Treatment of a Patient after Fracture of External Ankle Aim: The aim of this thesis is to get teoretical and practical knowledge about ankle fractures and their treatment. Method: The thesis includes research of literature about the problem. It consists of two parts: general and special. In the general part, there is a basic description of the anatomy and function of lower leg and ankle joint. Next there is the description of traumatology of this area, especially fractures. It studies the mechanism of fracture formation, surgical and conservative treatment and the possibilities of physiotherapy intervention. The special part is constructed as a case study. It includes detailed assessment of a patient, an initial kinesiology analysis which determines the aim and methods of the therapy. Next there is described the cousre of individual therapeutic units, final kinesiology analysis and a therapy efficiency evaluation. Key words: case study, ankle joint, fracture, rehabilitation, physiotherapy
Physiotherapeutic treatment of a patient after patella fracture
Sokratous, Dimitris ; Holubářová, Jiřina (advisor) ; Mahr, Edwin (referee)
Title: Physiotherapeutic treatment of a patient after patella fracture. Název: Fyzioterapeutická léčba pacienta po fraktuře patelly. Author: Sokratous Dimitris Location of practice: C.L.P.A. (Centrum léčby pohybového aparátu) Summary This bachelor thesis is divided into two main parts. The first part is the theoretical one which consists of a brief description of the anatomy, biomechanics and kinesiology of the patella. However, for a better understanding, the mechanism of the injury is explained, the different types of patella fracture and their optimal treatments are being described in this part. On the other hand the second part is the practical one which includes the anamnesis and the kinesiology examinations of a thirty eight years old woman, after patella fracture. Physiotherapeutic procedures for seven sessions also were performed and described in details on a daily base. This part is referred as the special part of this thesis. Great deals of strengthening, relaxation and sensomotoric stimulation exercises which are performed, as well as hydrotherapy, are available for the reader. Results After seven sessions the situation of the patient is really improved. The main goals have been accomplished. A full range of motion (ROM) of the injured knee joint is present. The muscle balance of the...
PNF technique after arthroscopic stabilization of the shoulder
Benešová, Martina ; Holubářová, Jiřina (advisor) ; Pavlů, Dagmar (referee)
Title: PNF technique after arthroscopic stabilization of the shoulder joint Objectives: The objective of this work is to consider the possibility of use of the proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation technique (PNF) in early stages of rehabilitation after arthroscopic stabilization of the shoulder joint. The idea is to use the phenomen of irradiation with which this concept works. Methods: The pilot experimental group consisted of 7 healthy participants with simulated arthroscopic stabilization of the left shoulder joint. The electromyography was used to record the electric activity of musculus trapezius pars descendens, pars transversa et pars ascendens, musculus deltoideus pars acromialis, musculus infraspinatus and musculus pectoralis major pars sternocostalis on the immobilized left arm; while using the PNF technique on the peripheral parts of the immobilised arm; and on the contra lateral arm. A 5s sequence of stabilised isometric contraction was analysed and all data further normalised to Maximal Voluntary Contraction (MVC). Considering the literature the 20% increase above the MVC was defined as substantial to assure sufficient functional capacity of the muscle fibres and therefore sufficient to stop muscle atrophy during immobilisation of the arm. Results: Results of this study support...
Comparison of Agonistic and Antagonistic Muscles Activity by Means of EMG by Different Implementation of Rhythmic Stabilization at Choice Facilitation Pattern
Chlupáčová, Veronika ; Holubářová, Jiřina (advisor) ; Prokešová, Michaela (referee)
Title: Comparison of agonistic and antagonistic muscles activity by Means of the EMG Implementation of different rhythmic stabilization at choice facilitation patty. Objective: using EMG measurements to compare the presence of symmetrical electrical activity Selected agonist and antagonist muscles of the upper limb at different how to perform rhythmic stabilization u! .diagonály HK Flexion PNF formula and determine method embodiment rhythmic stabilization, which is characterized by the presence of most symmetrical electromyographic activity of muscle we tested participating in the ~ above-mentioned movement pattern. Method: An experienced physical therapist conducted a 6 probands three ways to perform rhythmic stabilization and free kokontrakci without resistance at HK I. diagonal flexion formula from PNF during which the monitored electromyographic activity of selected agonistic and antagonistic muscles. The measured values are processed and compared. Our work is focused on the presence of symmetric muscle activity during rhythmic stabilization whether this affected sym.terie modus operandi rhythmic stabilization. Results: show that symmetrical muscle activity measured exhibits rhythmic stabilization when the resistance placed proximally agonists and simultaneously distally antagonists. Very similar...
Comparison of rhytmic stabilization according to Kabat with the techniques used in practice
Horáková, Klára ; Holubářová, Jiřina (advisor) ; Pánek, David (referee)
Title: Comparison of rhythmic stabilization according to Kabat with the techniques used in practice. Objectives: The main aim of this Master's thesis was to measure and compare electrical activity and the level of co-contraction of selected muscles which were exposed to different techniques - rhythmic stabilization according to Kabat and technique used in practice - technique "shove", via electromyography. Methods: This is an experimental study. The sample consisted of 7 probands (2 men and 5 women). With the use of surface electromyography it was obtained electromyographic aktivity record of m. quadratus lumborum sin., m. obliquus internus abdominis sin., m. rectus abdominis sin., m. obliquus externus abdominis dx. Acquired EMG signal was analyzed and then a standarized level of muscle activity during rhythmic stabilization according to Kabat and the "shove" technique. Afterward a dynamic co-contraction level was evaluated. Results: The measurement results showed that there's no enlarge electrical activity of muscles involved in PNF diagonals in unstable lying down on the right side position. The results of this study did not prove that electrical activity of selected muscles increased during rhythmic stabilization. We can not confirm the increased level of co-contraction during the rhythmic...
