Pupil's motivation to learn during distance learning

This diploma thesis deals with the issue of student motivation during distance learning. This form of education is becoming a common form of teaching due to the cyclical recurrence of the Covid-19 pandemic. In the theoretical part, I focus on defining motivation as a key tool for student's learning, its distribution and selected theories. I focused mainly on the motivational theory the psychoanalyst Sigmund Freud and Murray's theory of needs. In addition to the general definition of motivation, I deal directly with the motivation of pupils in teaching. In the next chapter I mention the specifics of distance education and focus on its positives and negatives. And not only from the point of view of the cantors, but above all also of the pupils themselves. In addition to forms of distance learning, I also introduce readers to the most well- known platforms that enable distance learning. The practical part is devoted to a survey that I conducted last school year among my 7th graders. I analyze the obtained data on the basis of a group discussion with pupils, which took place in May last year. Future through the eyes of preschool children that are bringing up in orphanages

As the title of the bachelor's thesis reveals, it aims to find out how preschool children growing up in foster homes view their own future. To what extent does growing up in institutional care affect their future lives. The theoretical part consists of several chapters that are closely related to the topic of the work. One of the chapters describes children's mental and physical development starting with conception and ending with preschool age. The chapter divides development into developmental periods - newborn, infant, toddler and preschool age child. Each subchapter contains important milestones of development periods related to the topic of the bachelor's thesis. The next chapter, which is included in the work, describes the functioning of foster homes in the Czech Republic in terms of legislation. The following chapter then discusses the impact of placing children in institutional care (in this work, specifically in foster homes). One of the important parts deals with the concepts of time, time perspective and time perception of preschool age children. Well-being in professional life of university teachers and design of activities for its improvement

This diploma thesis deals with the well-being of university teachers. The aim was to design activities that can be included in the lives of university teachers and improve their well-being. The thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part deals with both the definition of well-being and the explanation of various approaches to its definition. There is also a description of other theories, which contain components leading to optimal well-being. These theories are spiritual and cognitive well-being, some topics of positive psychology (physical health, social health, optimism, gratitude), Maslow's pyramid of needs, hygge and the Okinawan program. The theoretical part also explains the connection between work and well- being and introduces the risk factors of the teaching profession, such as stress and burnout syndrome. Finally, the work description of university teachers is introduced to present the number of activities that are necessary to perform this line of work. In the practical part, 42 activities are proposed. They are divided into eight chapters, according to the types of well- being proposed by Harvard University.
