Educational Activities for Lower and Upper Grammar School Focused on the Grey Partridge
Klapalová, Nora ; Andreska, Jan (advisor) ; Hanel, Lubomír (referee)
This diploma thesis deals with the creation of a clearly arranged calendar which summarizes basic information about the occurrence, breeding and hunting of partridges (Perdix perdix) in the years 1927 to 1960. This calendar was created on the basis of the research of archive years of the magazine Stráž myslivosti which changed its name to Myslivost in 1953. The research period starts with the year 1927 when the partridge population was abundant in the Czechoslovak Republic, and continues until 1960. By this time, the partridge population had undergone a number of changes. The most significant one was the considerable decrease in the number of individuals. The first reason of the large decline in partridges were the severe frosts in 1929 and then also in 1940 and 1941. Since that year, hunters have been trying to increase the number of partridges artificially. On the one hand by catching and releasing them, or by artificial breeding of partridge chickens. At the end of the 1940s, the population increased to half the number of pre-war occurrences. In the 1950s, however, the partridge population declined again. This decline is mainly due to the transformation of the natural agricultural landscape into a cultural landscape and the infrastructure development. Based on the calendar a total of ten...
The Knowledge and Attitudes of High School Students as Future Car Drivers of Vehicles about Collisions with Large Mammals in the Czech Republic
Tábořík, Lukáš ; Andreska, Jan (advisor) ; Hanel, Lubomír (referee)
The diploma thesis deals with the knowledge and attitudes of secondary school students as future drivers towards motor vehicle collisions with larger mammals in the Czech Republic. Collisions with forest wildlife is topical and important, both for nature and for the safety of future and current drivers. Paying attention to this issue in the teaching of science, biology or health education is considered by the author to be essential for the future safety of students. This thesis examines the knowledge and attitudes of students in two schools. One of these schools are the gymnasium, secondary vocational school and primary school (EDUCAnet) Prague and the other is the gymnasium and secondary vocational school of economics (GaSOŠE) Sedlčany. The research instrument chosen is a questionnaire created by the author for the purpose of this thesis. The results are obtained and interpreted from 192 students. After the evaluation of the questionnaire survey, we know that the students have quite a fair knowledge of the means against running into animals on the road and they are aware of the consequences of high-speed driving on the impacts of a collision with wildlife. Based on the results of the survey, gaps in knowledge, accident prevention and drivers' reactions to imminent danger are identified....
Acceptance of Fish Predators by Students of Chosen High Schools
Sůva, David ; Andreska, Jan (advisor) ; Hanel, Lubomír (referee)
The thesis describes the attitude students of professionally oriented high schools have toward chosen species of fish-hunting predators, namely the eurasian otter, the american mink, the great cormorant and the sea eagle. The first part of the thesis focuses on both historical and present recognition of these species in our country, description of each species including their population and protection measures. The second part of the text analyzes the curriculum framework of chosen high schools. The third part is a field study. The field study found which textbooks are used by students to learn about the fish-hunting predators listed above as well as the student's perception of them. A sample of 191 students were questioned, out of which 98 are students of schools of forestry and 93 are students of schools of fisheries. The worst acceptance was found with the great cormorant. The best acceptance was of the sea eagle. Key words: predation, eurasian otter, american mink, great cormorant, sea eagle

Biggest angled fishes in the Czech Republic within years 1987 - 2008
Goldstein, David ; Hanel, Lubomír (advisor) ; Andreska, Jan (referee)
The following bachelor work is dealing with prime catches of fishes in the Czech Republic. The prime catches from the last period (1987 - 2008) had been filed and analysed and these results enriched the previous knowledges about growth potential of those fish species which are attractive in angling. The evaluation concerned thirty one fish species. The biggest catch, in the last two decades, isn't very different from the maximum size of the same species in the last period. The Czech Republic is significant with their prime catches, especially sheatfish, pike, carp and pike - perch. Slapská reservoir, Sázava river and Želivka reservior are the most significant places for the prime catches in Podblanicko region (south part of central Bohemia).
