The Radiance of God's Glory: Revealing Jesus as the Embodiment of Old Testament Glory
Gricyk, Oleg ; Matějec, Tomáš (referee)
This study presents a focused theological analysis of the Epistle to the Hebrews, emphasising its Christocentric interpretation of the Old Testament and the depiction of Jesus Christ as the "radiance of God's glory." The abstract concisely covers the main objectives, methodology, and research findings. Three chapters explore the integration of Old and New Testament themes, employing Intertextual Biblical Theology to examine the Epistle's unique hermeneutical techniques, including typology, analogy, and metalepsis. These techniques are crucial in understanding the role of Jesus as both the fulfilment of Old Testament prophecy and the mediator of the new covenant. This study contributes to biblical scholarship, succinctly summarising its impact on understanding the Epistle's theological depth and its place in the Christian narrative.
Children's spirituality in the school educational program for pre-school education
Gricyk, Oleg ; Pavlov, Ivan (advisor) ; Krámský, David (referee)
The diploma thesis follows up on the author's bachelor's thesis, in which was proposed the sixth educational area for the Framework Educational Program for Preschool Education entitled The Child and His Spirituality. At present, the concept of children's spirituality is unaccepted and therefore neglected in academic areas in preschool education. However, for several decades, many authors have spoken of children's spirituality as a scientifically substantiated thesis. Therefore, the work deals with concepts of how to grasp children's spiritual education and how it could be practiced in the Czech secular kindergarten. It is shown that the Czech legislation represented by the Education Act is on the side of this education and does not go against it. The essence of spiritual children's capacity and how spirituality is realized and perceived in human life are discussed. One of the essential points of the work also lies in explaining that it is necessary to distinguish religion from spirituality. This distinction is crucial when looking for ways to talk about spirituality. In order to be able to apply spiritual education to current school practice, a philosophical framework is proposed for how spiritual education can be included in the school curriculum for preschool education. Furthermore, the reasons...
A child and his spirituality for the Framework Educational Program of Preschool Education according to Jan Amos Comenius
Gricyk, Oleg ; Svobodová, Zuzana (advisor) ; Pavlov, Ivan (referee)
This bachelor's thesis deals with the anthropological starting points in the work of Jan Amos Comenius. Based on its starting points this work offers the extension of the Framework Educational Program for Pre-school Education (FEP PE). In the first part of this thesis, there are defined theoretical assumptions that anthropological questions belong to the field of school management. Furthermore, the shortcomings of today's Czech pedagogy regarding the question of who is human are pointed out. The second chapter summarizes Comenius' work, "Great Didactics", and highlights his main emphasis. In the practical part of this work, the content analysis method is used to investigate whether the framework educational program for pre-school education fulfills the school law on the question of spiritual values. It is pointed out that the framework document does not work with spiritual values. As part of the current FEP revision in the last part of the thesis, it is proposed to extend the framework educational program for pre- school education by the sixth educational area called - a child and his spirituality. The following are elaborated in this area: partial educational goals, educational offerings, expected outcomes and risks that can jeopardize the success of the teacher's educational goals. The aim of the...
Christologie Markova evangelia 1. 2-3 se zaměřením na starozákonní intertextualitu
Gricyk, Oleg ; Lukeš, Jiří (advisor) ; Vymětalová Hrabáková, Eva (referee)
Intertextuality as a method of biblical interpretations is well known and often misused in theological circles. This thesis critically describes how intertextuality is used and what are the main issues with this term and method. The main conclusion is that intertextuality as the modern method is for no much use in biblical hermeneutics though it can be used as an old and well know method of source theory. Intertextuality in the modern view appears to be as a confusing and an unstable term. Philosophical presuppositions of a modern hermeneutics might lead to self-contradictory conclusions. It is not that the attempt to come to original meaning is fulfilled through new interpretational methods, but anyone can introduce any new meaning to old texts. This work shows that the reasons to believe in the death of the original meaning is based on shaky and uncertain grounds. The main concern of this work is introductory citation of the Gospel of Mark. It shows that Mark bases his high Christological understanding on the prophecy of Isaiah and Malachi. Though Mark's Gospel is often considered as the earliest manuscript containing non-high Christological notion, this work shows that Mark from the very beginning introduced us to Jesus who possesses the same qualities as the Yahweh in the books of Isaiah and...
