Permittivity measurement of materials in microwave band – lab task

This work is concentrated on the development of laboratory task with a focus on measuring permittivity of materials in microwave band. For the measurement, two waveguide methods are used. The first method is used for determining of the permittivity of lossless materials by a method „shortening wavelength in the material“. The second method is used for determining of the permittivity of loss materials by a method „short – open“. Both methods are briefly described and used for determining permittivity of materials obtained from the data modeling in CST Microwave Studio. Then measuring workplace for both methods is realized and used for measurement of the permittivity of selected materials. Finally, the instruction for lab task with and measurement report is created.
Design of manufacturing technology for plastic mount carbon

This master thesis deals with design of injection moulding technology for plastic holder of carbon brushes made of polycarbonate labelled Lexan 945A. The injection is performed into injection mould with hot runner system. Initially there is general study related to plastics and injection moulding technology. Further the study continues with injection moulds with hot runners and ends with computer analysis of injection moulding process. The designed injection mould for production of plastic holders is three-plate, double cavity mould with four hot nozzles and one parting plane, where one of the plates serves for mounting of the hot runner system inside the mould. This work contains part of the drawing documentation and item list of the injection mould. The selected injection moulding machine is Arburg Allrounder 370 U labelled 700-290 according to EUROMAP.

Information systems form an inseparable part of all business entities nowadays. They differ only in their size and complexity. Therefore each company should have its information system whose setting is adequate and maximally effective. The aim of this paper is to analyse the information system of NET4GAS, s.r.o., identify its weaknesses and propose changes to enhance it in order to increase the company efficiency.

The aim of this thesis is a description of information systems and a correct method of selection of the information system by an enterprise. It describes the subject with focus on ERP systems, situation and trends on the domestic market. It brings also benefits of the information systems for enterprises and common mistakes during information system selection process. Own solution for the analyzed company consists of information strategy proposal and the wide selection of the suitable information system. Additional proposals are stated contracted.
Optical beam intensity profile analysis

This work is focused on the study of the intensity profile of optical beams. In the first part problematics of optical beams from theoretical point of view is discussed, Model of realistically circular symmetric beam in an ideal lossless, stationary, homogeneous and isotropic medium is formed in Matlab®. The next part of the thesis deals with implementation of automatic workplace for measuring intensity profile of optical beams. Within the thesis - PCB desing of photodetector in Eagle®, is discussed. Custom application for controlling the motorized linear stage M – IMS 400 and communication with photodetector in the Microsoft Visual Studio 2010® was created.
Methods for improving frictional features of rubbing surfaces

This bachelor thesis describes several methods of improving surface's tribological properties. There are many forms of tribological processes, depending on structure, geometry, material properties, relative motion and loading of system elements. The main aim is to minimize wear and friction. It can be controlled by improving surface structure, geometry and by increasing of surface roughness with coating deposition methods, chemical-heat treatment and surface texturing. These methods can be also used for reparation of degraded rubbing surfaces or for surface modification in order to establish suitable lubrication conditions. An introduction to micro/nanotribology and tribological processes in micro/nanoscale is also described in this study.
