Sixta, Jaroslav ; Hronová, Stanislava (advisor) ; Fischer, Jakub (referee) ; Macek, Jan (referee)
The aim of this dissertation thesis is to compile a systematic methodical approach for fixed assets as a national methodology. It focuses on stocks, consumption of fixed capital and capital services. The thesis is divided into three parts and six chapters. Chapter one and chapter two are used as a general theoretical base for chapters 3 to 5. Chapter 3 is based on a standard approach to the perpetual inventory method (PIM) as it is used in the Czech Republic. Chapter 4 is devoted to capital services and to an alternative approach to PIM. It is not used in the Czech Republic until now. Estimates are an integral part of the chapter. Chapter 5 describes capital services for other non-market producers, both methodology and estimates are covered. The impact of the change of the so-called cost method used for the estimates of output of other non-market producers on gross domestic product is calculated. The change consists in the substitution of consumption of fixed capital by capital services. Chapter 6 summarizes and explains the consequences in terms of national accounts.

The estimate of the rate of return on investment in education in the Czech Republic
Malinová, Kateřina ; Fischer, Jakub (advisor) ; Münich, Daniel (referee)
The aim of this work is to estimate the individual rate of return on investment in tertiary education in the Czech Republic. Firstly, I focus on the theoretical explanation of the issue of human capital and investment in education as the most important investment in human capital. On the basis of the theoretical knowledge I present a list of revenues and expenses associated with investments in human capital. From this list I then select quantifiable revenues and expenses for the calculation of the internal rate of return on investments in tertiary education and present the data used in calculations. I describe my own methodology and also the methodology used by OECD, which is a base for my methodology. After estimating the individual rate of return on investment in tertiary education in the Czech Republic, I describe some limits of the calculation and interpretation obstacles of the estimate. At the end of my work, I mention some possible directions for further research in this area.

Rating methods of return of individual investment in tertiary education
Mináriková, Jana ; Fischer, Jakub (advisor) ; Mazouch, Petr (referee)
This bachelor work deals with tertiary education as an investment in human capital. The rate of return of this investment is evaluated as it is assessed in case of traditional investments. However the rate of return will be evaluated from individual point of view. For evaluation are designed various methods which are based on primal cost and benefits analysis. That is why it is necessary to know all possible personal costs on one hand and all personal benefits from this investment on the other hand. This work is divided into six chapters. The second one introduces a problem of human capital and also defines secondary and tertiary education. In the third and fourth chapters are described different costs and benefits and examples from various studies which investigate the influence of reached level of education on these items. They also show real data, costs and benefits of citizens of Czech Republic which were available at the time of writing this work. In the final part are described methods which evaluate the rate of return of investment into education, their advantages and disadvantages and their practical use.
