The effect of moisture on the surface strength of sandstone rock outcrops

The aim of the thesis is to evaluate the influence of moisture on the tensile strength of sandstone rock outcrops and also to evaluate the possible influence of man on the erosion of sandstone rocks, especially by climbing activities, by means of a research study and specific examples from my own and non-own researches. Just a few studies have so far addressed the effect of moisture on the tensile strength of sandstone, and although the results of these studies generally suggest that the tensile strength of sandstone rock outcrops decreases with increasing moisture, there are differences depending on the specifics of the selected study areas. It would therefore be interesting to do a study that names and evaluates the possible aspects influencing this dependence. In my thesis I have evaluated studies carried out using different methodologies, which are described in a separate chapter. The results of the studies show that the tensile strength does indeed decrease with increasing moisture content, but the degree of decrease depends mainly on the mineralogical composition of the rock. The tensile strength of rocks with a high clay or organic content will decrease significantly more with increasing moisture than the tensile strength of rocks with a high quartz content. This bachelor thesis is focused on inventory and evaluation of the health conditions of the avenue and tree line between the villages of Tis and Janovec near a forgotten settlement of Komárov, which should be declared as a memorable place in the future. The objective of the thesis is to elaborate dendrometric characteristics of the alley trees, the characteristics of natural conditions, the inventory of the tree species; to assess the health conditions with a focus on the occurence of tree species diseases and processing of risk factors. On the basis of the established facts, it proposes possible measures including protective interventions.

New Poetic Style in Early Collections of Jiří Kolář

The presented diploma thesis is focused on the interpretation of Jiří Kolář´s early works (Křestný list, Ódy a variace, Limb a jiné básně and Sedm kantát), through which it demonstrates the manner in which a new poetic is modeled, in contact with Skupina 42 (Group 42). The thesis addresses the way, in which Jiří Kolář conceives art, and how he approaches it in concurrence with the aesthetic requirements of Jindřich Chalupecký. For a profound understanding of the early works, there is a need for an enumeration of the means, by which Jiří Kolář creates an image of reality in his work: how he uses metaphor, variations of motives and fragments, verse and syntax; the way in which he induces the musicality of a verse; how he uses classic genre forms and methods, and what new forms or approaches does he create. The given analysis should help to uncover the aesthetic effect of the poems, to a thorough understanding, and to reveal Kolář´s poetry as a metaphor of existence in a particular era.

Egon Bondy´s Plays

The present bachelor thesis is devoted to the interpretation of neglected plays which were written by Egon Bondy in the years 1968-1971. The theoretical part explains the most significant principles and methods used in plays, as well as historical context of those plays and their use in theatre. The plays are seen as parallels to the contemporary political, social or cultural system. To recognize these parallels will be necessary to identify the principles of imaging fictional world, which are primarily antiutopia, satire, hyperbole, absurd, surreal dreaminess, awkwardness and obscenity, or variation of the principles of the author's total realism. Naming these principles should help to uncover the aesthetic effect of the text and lead the reader to understand the text itself.

Liability Insurance in Accordance with New Legislation

In 2014 a new Civil Code was adopted and many changes were connected to it. One of the most important changes were in the field of Liability insurance, especially changes in the compensation for damage and in the payment insurance settlement. Therefore the bachelor thesis deals with recodification of Civil Code impact on Liability insurance business by comparison of current legislation with the previous one. The practical part shows the impact of those changes of both insurance companies and business companies.
