Theme of catechesis with regard to the development and maturity of children and youth

The thesis "Theme of catechesis with regard to the development and maturation of children and youth"deals with the psychological and spiritual development and maturation of children and teenagers. The thesis clarifies basic terminology with regard to psychological and catechistic spheres and describes the fundamental stages of development. It attempts to apply the knowledge gained from literature on specific principles of selection of topics of catechesis. Furthermore, it applies the principles in confrontation with the topics of Curricula for religious education of the Roman Catholic Church for the first to ninth years of elementary schools.

Christian Kindergarten

In my thesis I deal with the position of the Christian kindergarten in the system of pre-school education in the Czech Republic . I describe the historical development of the kindergarten as an institution. The development of pre-school children is assessed in terms of education, psychology and religion. Family and teacher are the basic partners in the lifelong patterns of shaping the personality of every child. The Christian kindergarten meets the same objectives as other pre-school facilities which are based on The Framework Education Programme. The difference between the Christian kindergarten and ordinary kindergarten is their founder and the Educational Programme which is oriented and adapted to the requirements of Christian education of pre-school children. The Christian kindergarten has a logical place and tradition in the system of pre-school education.

The Activity of Caritas in Archdiocese of Prague between 1989 - 2009

Submitted thesis describes charitable activity in Christianity and its history as well as charitable activity in other religions. Thesis focuses mainly on research and the analysis of Prague archdiocese charitable activity within years 1989 - 2002 of available information. Paper presents findings that result from the analysis of charitable activity within areas of social work, humanitarian aid and above all development co-operation. In diploma thesis, we described various fulfilments of supportive development projects, especially the most conspicuous and the most significant participation in development activity -on project Remote adoption. The significance of this activity between years 1993 - 2009 reflects its results. Submitted paper qualifies results of analysis and determinates further possibilities of given problem`s examination. The basic purpose of thesis is on the basis of gained results, pointed on significant contribution of Prague archdiocese charitable activity not only within Czech Republic, but also in foreign countries. Moreover, the practical importance of thesis is seen as a feedback on complexity, range and variability of Prague archdiocese charitable activity for reader, other institutions as well as for Prague archdiocese itself. The activity of charibtable organizations of the Catholic Church - compared with other organizations

This master's thesis "The activity of charitable organizations of the Catholic Church - compared to other organizations" aims to present the charity itself. It discusses the social effects of Churches in the Czech Republic, describes the service to the needed and presents the list of registered churches that are professionally involved in the social field. Mainly deals with the Caritas of the Czech Republic. The focus is on the diocesan Caritas in the Czech province, including: the Caritas Czech Budejovice, the Catholic Charities Diocese of Hradec Kralove, the Caritas Litomerice, the Caritas Plzen, the Archdiocese Caritas Prague, and Greek Catholic charity. The analysis was not determined only by defined areas of individual archdiocesan, diocesan or regional parishor charities, but also by the type of service (human development aid, social and legal counseling, sheltered workshops, probation system, retirement homes, etc.) as well as by the typologies of people, which the individual charities care (homeless, ex-convicts, women in need and their children, etc.). Internet and the Holy See

This diploma thesis called Internet and the Holy See deals with a specific question concerning relationship between the Catholic Church and media. It examines development of the attitude of the Holy See to the Internet in context of its attitude to mass media on the basis of exploration of ecclesiastical documents related to media and analysis of Internet and mass media use in practice. It takes the Internet as the latest fundamental milestone in development of human communication and probes how the Catholic Church represented by the Holy See deals with this phenomenon. Name of this thesis begins with the word Internet, to indicate perspective chosen on this topic. In the last chapter there are conclusions emerging from analysis of ecclesiastical documents compared with actual use of the Internet by the Holy See.

Archdiocese Secondary School in Kromeriz. Catechetic Models

This thesis is concerned with the development of the church educational system and its mission in the educational scheme of the Czech Republic. It also explores the post- revolutionary development and contemporary legislative background of the church educational system. The key chapter is devoted to more than 150-year history of Archbishop Grammar School in Kroměříž - since its foundation, through the communist period, until its restoration and its present condition. Then a detailed analysis of the spiritual environment and catechetic activity presently performed at Archbishop Grammar School follows. The goal of this thesis is to map out currently used methods and catechetic models at Archbishop Grammar School, their effectiveness, their usage and available means, with which it is possible to work at the school. The whole thesis thus responds to the need of objective evaluation of catechetic activity at Archbishop Grammar School in Kroměříž and wants to contribute to further possible development of this activity in the spirit of bigger effectiveness.

Volunteers in The Catholic Parish Chlumec nad Cidlinou

The thesis focuses on activity of volunteers in the Chlumec church community. The introduction describes the formation of the Church within which the parishes subsequently emerged and includes a definition of the parish in the ecclesiastical documents. It describes the Chlumec nad Cidlinou parish as well as its brief history. It defines the term "volunteer" and the layperson and their mutual relationship. The volunteers of the distant past of the Chlumec parish are portrayed through the activities of the local literary fraternity. The interwar period is characterised by the activity of the Czechoslovak People's Party and the Orel association. Describing the activities of the Parish charity in Chlumec nad Cidlinou, it demonstrates the enthusiasm and desire to be useful in the period after November 1989. The conclusion includes a brief summary indicating the number of inhabitants in relation to the number of volunteers in each aforementioned period. Ethic education This diploma work deals with newly implemented school subject "Ethic education" at the school system in the Czech Republic. "Ethic education" has been defined as a project, where main topic is to develop pro-social behaviour. This diploma work specifies elementary educational aims of this project and analyses its particular educational components: contain, methods, style, topics. It also deals with the process of implementation into the Czech school system, in what social context has ethic education has been developing, how it is embodied into Framework Education Programme documents and how psychology as a science looks at moral development of a human being. Author looks at the ethic education through prism of universal principles and outcomes, such as Christian ethics and natural moral law.

Greek-Catholic Parish St. Clemente in Prague - Development and Identity

The master's thesis "The Greek Catholic Parish of St. Clement in Prague - Development and Identity" presents the history of Greek Catholic Church in relationship to the history of the church as a whole and to the matters of Eastern and Western Christian traditions up to the reunification of the Latin Church with several Eastern Churches in the form of so-called Unions. The thesis also familiarizes readers with the development and impact of these unions. This also describes the identity and traditions of the Greek Catholic Church, consisting in the tradition of Eastern Christianity fully united in communion with the Catholic Church (chapter 1). Following the general introduction into the matter, the thesis focuses on the circumstances of the parish origin, its development and life in the course of history and in context of the Czech church history in the 20th century. The next milestone described in the thesis is the year 1989 and subsequent changes (chapter 2). Furthermore, the thesis presents the organization of the Greek Catholic Church in the region of contemporary Czech Republic and its development up to the present state (chapter 3).
