Physical growth and efficiency of preschool children regarding motion mode

This diploma thesis deals with comparing the level of physical growth and basic motor skills of preschool children, their motion mode and the conditions for movement activities in two kindergartens located in different municipalities (in a city and in a town). The aim of the study was to determine the level of growth and motor performance of preschool children in relation to the motion mode at their residence. The study included 116 children aged 4-6. The level of physical growth was assessed by measuring somatic characteristics of children (height, weight, BMI). The data extracted from the study were compared to percentile charts. The level of motor performance was assessed by sensory tests. In the case of basic motor skills there was chosen 20 ms run with standing start for the testing of speed capability, for the evaluation of explosive strength abilities was selected jump from the spot with two legs reflection, the testing of explosive strength of the upper limbs was exercised by a ball throw by both right and left hand. At the same time, these tests show the level of motor performance of preschool children. Relationship between the posture and muscle imbalance in preschool children

This work deals with the posture of children preschool age. Due to the instability and children standing of factors affecting posture, the trials in this age group pose a problem. The goal is to assess the level of preschool children's posture in the region of Liberec and analyze the potential depending on posture and muscle imbalance movement stereotypes. The study will be used the following methods: a combination of visual methods of Klein, Thomas & Mayer and Jaros & Lomíček, Mathiasův test Thomayer test and muscle tests according to Janda. Based on the results will be chosen the best compensation method.

Attitudes of teachers in kindergartens to physical activity

The aim of this work is to look into the issue of kindergarten teachers and theircompetency in the area of physical education. These competencies reflect the teachers' personal attitudes derived from the quality of their lives, their wellbeing. The attitudes of kindergarten teachers towards physical education were surveyed by a questionnaire method (Wear's standardized questionnaire) and then evaluated and interpreted. Thorough analysis of these data is preceded by basic theoretic definition of the term "quality of life" and attitudes from the area of psychology and kinanthropology. Other widely used methods of gathering attitudes are also briefly mentioned.

Assessment and self-assessment in physical education at primary school

This thesis is focused on assessment in physical education and its impact on pupils' self-esteem and self-assessment. The theoretical part consists of personality and social characteristics of a child under school age, self-analysis as components of human self- mastery, and finally the theoretical content and forms of assessment at primary school with an emphasis on its objectives. The key chapter is the theoretical description of the concepts of evaluation in physical education. Research section is then devoted to determining the impact on self-assessment by comparing the parallel surveys and exploration of current trends in assessment in physical education.
