The Children and Youth Olympics in the Czech Republic in the sports, economy and marketing sphere

Title: The Children and Youth Olympics in the Czech Republic in the sports, economy and marketing sphere Objectives: The main aim of this work is to analyse all the available documents of all the individual Children and Youth Olympics in the Czech Republic from 2003 to 2013 in the sports, economy and marketing sphere. Methods: Dissertation is divided into three parts based on data from relevant Czech Olympic Comittee documents. The first part is primarily about sport and analyses success of the Children and Youth Olympics athletes at International Games. The second part focuses on budget of particulars Games. And the third part contains analysis of marketing support - partnership, media support, merchandising and information leaflets. Results: We can observe positive results at all three areas - sports, economy and marketing. The Children and Youth Olympics s based on strong platform that helps to spread olympic idea among young people in the Czech Republic. Proposals and recommendations for future Games are based on detailed analysis and evaluation of all three parts. The influence of high altitude on shooting efficiency of biathletes.

The main purpose was describe the issue of shooting success rate at high altitude (1 500 - 3 000m a. s. l.). Shooting success rate of elite racers was evaluated using analysation of results from individual races at high altitude in the period 1990/1991 - 2013/2014. High altitude had no statistical effect (p<0,05) on shooting success rate of women and men biathletes in the comparision with lowland but it had more negative effect to women shooting success rate than men shooting success rate. Ten national level biathletes were tested in three tests in lowland, four tests at high altitude and five tests in lowland after the return from high altitude. The test included rest shooting in the prone and standing positions and load shooting in both positions which took part of three kilometers running. Twelve days training camp at high altitude did not improve shooting success rate, shooting velocity and running time in the determinated heart rate. Rest shooting and shooting in the prone position did not change statistically during the whole testing period. At high altitude critical days were registered in load shooting in standing position (6th day, p<0,05) and average running time (9th day, p<0,05). Title: Competitive success in the performance development of tennis players Abstract This study deals with the performance development analysis of players, in the conditions of the Czech Tennis Association enviroment (before 1993 of the Czechoslovak Tennis Association), and the aim is to find if the competitive success of Czech, or Czechoslovak players reached in the U12 and U14 age categories relates to their later top performance achievements at the international level. The prospective view analyses national rankings of best U12 and U14 players (during years 1989 - 2011) in relation to their future success at the professional level on the ATP and WTA Tour. The retrospective analysis focuses on players (born 1970 or younger) who reached a top 100 ATP or WTA ranking, and explores their performance development. The qualitative part of the research, based on structured open ended interviews with tennis experts, identifies, confirms and/or reviews the ways of achieving the top tennis performance. This part focuses on three topics of the long-term athletic development in tennis - characteristic features of training, demands on successful players and importance of sport competitions. Analysis of the bidding process of Prague for Summer Olympic Games 2016

Title: Analysis of the bidding process of Prague for Summer Olympic Games 2016 Objectives: The aim of this thesis is the analysis of Prague's bid for Summer Olympic Games 2016, the following determination of main causes of his failure and than a suggestion of the future steps leading towards the future organisation of Olympic Games. Methods: We have used three managerial methods in this thesis. It was at first the system approach that identifies all stakeholders and their relations, which are all connected. This method permits to understand our subject as a complete system. After that SWOT analysis of the bid and the Fishbone diagram was used to identify main causes of the bid's failure. Results: Main six causes were identified that have caused the failure of the Prague's bid. These causes are more a kind of internal serious problems that show that Prague is not ready yet for organising Olympic Games. Following suggestions for future steps are reacting on these results. The aim of that is to make a long-term strategy to improve the environment and relations between the sport and state and prepare good conditions in the country for the next Olympic bid. Ice Hockey Injuries in the Professional Ice Hockey Leagues in Czech Republic

Title: Ice Hockey Injuries in the Professional Ice Hockey leagues in Czech Republic Objective: The aim of this thesis is to investigate the incidence, types, severity and mechanisms of injury in Czech ice hockey players at the highest competition level during the season 2010/2011. Methods: Data were collected by the non-standardized six-side questionnair from 11 teams in the highest ice hockey league in Czech Republic for season 2010/2011. Findings: There were a total of 559 injuries, 18,4% injuries occured during praktice, 75% during games. The overall game injury rate was 57,4 per 1000 games. The most common injury was laceration in the face. Collision with an oponent, with the boards or fall on ice caused nearly 38% of injuries. As for severity, 45,1% injuries were classified as minor and 14,3% as major injuries. Of the 419 game injuries, 65,2 % occured in forwards, 28,1% in defensemen and 6,7% in goalkeepers. Methodological Foundations of the Diagnosis of Olympic Knowledge, Values and Principles Olympic education is influenced by many institutions (IOC, NOC, NOA etc.) which are connected with cooperation with educational and scientific institutions at the university level. One of the possibilities to spread the Olympic idea among population is Olympic education at schools. The object of our research was to modify the Rychtecky`s Czech version of the original survey "Olympic questionnaire" by Telama et al. from 1998. At the same time we reduced the survey and created a shorter version more useful in school settings. Another object of our research was to identify and specify similar tendencies between 12-year-old and 15-year-old adolescents. It was followed by the evaluation of possible change in perception of values of the targeted population. Our sample consisted of 597 adolescents (12 and 15 years old) from 7 grammar schools from Southern Bohemia location. The results of our research demonstrated significant extremity in girls` attitudes (p<0,05 - p<0,001) toward the fair play behaviour in sport. Younger respondents also perceived fair play models more positively than older respondents (p<0,05) which was confirmed by bigger tolerance to violence by the older respondents (p<0,05). Title of the thesis in English: The management of the training (analysis of selected sports) Objective: The aim of the thesis was to collect on Czech literature dealing management of sports training in specific sports that we chose - volleyball, athletics - 100- and 200 meters, gymnastics and triathlon. After studying these publications determine whether they cover all sports articles sports training management - planning training, training records, inspection and evaluation of fitness training. further compare theory of individual cells management of sports training in these sports with the general model management theory of sports training. Individualization of Training Process in Ice-hockey Annual Training Cycle

Thesis name: Individualization oftraining process in ice-hockey annual training cycle Thesis aims: The aims ofthis thesis are: analysis of individualization possibilities in training process in ice-hockey annual training cycle rationalization of the use of training individualization for individua! performance factors ofeach athlete in ice-hockey to integrate the individualization into annual training cycle and its practical aplication in compact form. The thesis should refer to the importance ofthe training process individualization in ice- hockey, even thought it is a collective sport. Methods: Qualitative analysis of competent documents addressed to individualization in sport and motoric activities was carried out. Next followed qualitative analysis ofpossible reasons for individualization and on this basis practical and teoretical findings were applied into an ice-hockey player training process. An individualization model for ice-hockey annual training cycle was made for coaches needs. Improvement of co-ordination abilities of young school children

Title: lmprovement of co-ordination abilities of young school children. Work objective: The aim of this thesis is to find out, if iťs possible to improve co-ordination abilities of children from elementary school, by adding general development trainings and prove this improvement by co-ordination tests. Method: Research was performed in two 1st classes of elementary school. 8oth experimental and control group were examinated on the biggining of the school year. Then were on the experimental group applied universa! development trainings. At the end of the school year were both groups examinated again with the same tests. Outcomes: From the test results we can see, that the experimental group reached statisticaly better results, than the control groups.
