The Evaluation in Figure Skating from the View of the Decision Making Theory
Erbsová, Markéta ; Dlouhý, Martin (advisor) ; Nečas, Dalibor (referee)
The evaluation methods of competitors in figure skating are the key problem of this sport. The 6.0 system of evaluation was in use until the year 2004. In such system referee compares competitors one by one and decides on the rank. The 6.0 system can be described by method of Expert Judgment and/or Group Participation. In year 2004 International Skating Union introduced the new system. In this new system is in the role of the decision maker mainly the competitor not the referee. The competitor chooses elements of his program which maximized the total point benefit. We can find out the point value of every element in SOV -- Scale of Values. Nowadays the skater can decide according to the Decision Making under Multiple Criteria theory, we use Weighted Sum Approach method which is sufficient for our purpose. In this thesis both systems are going to be explained on particular cases and linked with methods of decision making theory.

The following three areas are in main focus of this thesis: advantages of DEA modelling compared to common approaches to Decision Making Units efficiency assessment and extensive summary of majority of DEA models, which are relevant for solving the given problem; followed by a comprehensive model of efficiency assessment of shop network of a Mobile Network Operator, which is unique to this thesis from both theoretical and practical standpoints; and last but not least a detailed analysis of the shop network including recommendations.
FDH method and its use by efficiency analysis
Průchová, Anna ; Dlouhý, Martin (advisor) ; Jablonský, Josef (referee)
This bachelor thesis deals with evaluation of efficiency of decision making units using data envelopment analysis. The main purpose is to introduce FDH method (Free disposable hull). For easier understanding there are explained two basic DEA models (CCR and BCC) in the first part of the thesis. Then the description of FDH method follows. It contains the mathematical model and graphic visualization. The thesis also briefly describes the appropriate way of data collecting and their adjustment. In the second part there are evaluated efficiencies of lending libraries in the Czech Republic. The data set is analyzed by FDH method and results gained by CCR and BCC method are shown for comparison.
New product installation simulation
Medonos, Michal ; Dlouhý, Martin (advisor) ; Kuncová, Martina (referee)
One of the products produced by Motorpal a.s. is a camshaft. Recently, the company signed a contract with Bosch company to produce new types of camshaft. The analysis of the impact of the contract on the production was made by simulation. To perform the simulation it was necessary to map the whole process. The simulation of the current state was made in the first phase. The results shew many uneffectivnesses in the process and lack of capacity of some workplaces. Some changes in the process were suggested and tested with the aid of the simulation. The best results were achieved when the single-item flow was used. In the second phase the production of a new type of camshaft was added to the simulation. Analysis of these results was divided into two parts. The new production was analysed in the first part and it was discovered that the planned capacites are very deficient. The impact of the new production on the current one was analysed in the second part. It shew that this impact is negativ, especially on the duration of production.
Simulation model (real situation)
Černohous, Roman ; Kuncová, Martina (advisor) ; Dlouhý, Martin (referee)
The aim of this thesis is to analyze and optimize production processes in a company which produces plastic components for the automotive industry. The theoretical part of this thesis summarizes basic knowledge of business process simulation and addresses the reasons for making use of dynamic simulation as a tool for eliminating dissipation and supporting decision making. The main focus is an analysis of the current situation and identifies the problems in the company. For the purpose of optimization, a simulation model was created using Simul8, by the Simul8 Corporation. The model was made in accordance with the methodology described in the theoretical part of this thesis. It was used to examine the efficiency of proposed versions of the production schedule, in light of its impact on storage capacity and service level.
Solving optimization problems using Monte Carlo method
Švehla, Pavel ; Jablonský, Josef (advisor) ; Dlouhý, Martin (referee)
The goal of the text is to communicate basic principles of Monte Carlo method and its application in solving linear programming problems with uncertain parameters. Monte Carlo method is widely used in various areas of science. However, the document focuses mainly on usage in economic applications. Nature of the second part is purely practical. It clearly describes finding solution of stochastic model using Crystal Ball software and its embedded solver -- OptQuest. Ambition of this work is also to be a brief Czech version of Crystal Ball user guide.
Model of the extensive form game with the financial rewards
Erbsová, Markéta ; Dlouhý, Martin (advisor) ; Rada, Miroslav (referee)
The aim of this Bachelor thesis is the analysis and presentation of the original extensive form game with the financial rewards, which is called Výměna (Exchange). In the theoretical part we will describe the basic concepts of Game Theory, especially the game in an explicit form. In the practical part we will deal with the game Výměna (Exchange) in itself. Determine the rules of the game, the graphic form of the game and formulate a mathematical model of the game. Individual parts of the game will be described in more details. No less important part of this Bachelor thesis will be the characteristics of the game, which outline the possible use of the game in practice.
